the throat/chest infection I thought had been kicked at the start of December was apparently lying in wait for me to go back to work. I have no voice, at all. The dog woke me up barking at someone at the door this morning (although there was no one there - it's kinda stormy and the wind had lifted the door-knocker) I opened my mouth to say "s'okay Dram, I hear it" and nothing. No words emerged at all.

So after experimenting with clearing my throat a lot (and confirming there was no one at the door) I made a cup of tea with honey and went back to sleep. It's now four hours later (yay me - I slept nearly a full night!) and I still have no voice at all.

And in about 15 minutes I'm expecting the regular "what are you up to today?" phone call from sister, that'll be fun since I can't actually answer her!
