It's scary when the small people are poorly, one because you love them and two because they are so small it doesn't seem that they are big enough to be in hospital (if that makes sense!). Both my niecelets had to go into hospital last year - one had an accident and needed an operation and one was poorly and needed to be put on a drip. It's horrible the feeling of powerlessness you have, but as one of your other posters said, kids are resilient and far more robust than they look.
Enjoy your afternoon off - and make sure you fit in some 'Sho watching cute men' time as well as dish and clothes washing time!
