Yes, something else I've been toying with doing...

There are so many fantastic Faith-centric fics out there that I don't see getting all that much recognition so...

[Poll #1417588]

A reassurance - I already run two awards sites, I already have the coding, it reeally isn't that much extra work for me. Also? I kinda thrive on what little stress in involved.

eta dammit! I knew there was a question I missed on the poll and you can't edit LJ polls so in comments please:

Should it be judged or public vote?

At our first round of [livejournal.com profile] absence_oflight, we had judges for each category, awarding 1-3 places, depending on the number of nominees in the category, then also had a 'fan favorite' which was popular vote. And really, if you use GoogleDocs, Pop Vote is about as easy as Pie, plus you have the judging side that IMHO does have more credence, simply because the person judging (is supposed to) actually READ all the entries, which 99% of people who do pop vote don't do. It was very interesting to see where the pop vote and judges agreed (and disagreed).

You could also do the opposite - pop vote, then have a Judge's Choice for each category or some such.

That said, if I have to choose, I go Judged, ALL THE WAY.

[livejournal.com profile] princess_dushku had an interesting alternative down in the comments - a way of combining the voting option and a judged. I think I would be more tempted to seperate the options though - have it both be judged and popular choice.

Thanks!
