The pilot episodes of Lost have been reviewed pretty positively in the Sunday Herald (I'm having a lazy day - reading the Sunday papers. Makes a real change for me!) The review is a little spoilery for the second part of the pilot (specifically the out of place animal in the jungle... *g*) but I just adore the summation of the review by Damien Love:
O'Quinn also supplies Lost's most unsettling moment, when he suddenly smiles at another passenger, revealing an uncanny, radiant orange blur where his teeth should be. It takes a skin-crawling second to realise what's going on. The makers of Lost spent $250,000 shipping the wrecked plane to Hawaii. It's strangely reassuring that its scariest effect is a man with tangerine peel in his mouth.
Heh!
(*note to self* make more Lost icons!)
