You know the best time of year to have trouble with your thermostat? Yup, you got it, end of December.

Been wondering why the house has been a little chilly over the last week and now it turns out that my 20+ year old thermostat for my gas central heating is on the fritz which means the only room in the house that has any heating right now is my living room because of the 1980s 'Living Flame' gas fire.

Wonderful.

Ah well, guess that gives me an excuse to curl up with a bunch of blankets, some hot soup and the dog (not in the soup obviously, because that might spoil the taste a little...) and watch crap on TV all day...
