tortured soul
Today is the tenth anniversary of the death of the voice of my generation. I was a very mixed up teenager and at the start of the nineties, I fell into a spiral of depression. I latched onto the music of Nirvana because it resonated with me. Kurt Cobain managed to put into lyrics everything I was feeling.

For once it was okay to be me, to be whatever the hell I wanted to be. It didn't matter what other people thought of me, the only person I had to be true to was myself. Kurt Cobain made me believe in myself again.

And then he killed himself.

He was the very definition of a tortured soul but he was also (excuse the language) a fucking idiot.

Rest easy Kurt.

Personally never been a fan of Nirvana or Kurt Cobain, but do know the power of lyrics to help you find yourself and make you feel like you belong.

10 years is just a short amount of time, but I hope that wherever he is, he has found peace.

Actually,I've never really believed that Cobain killed himself.A friend of mine, the late El Duce(lead singer/drummer for The Mentors)was offered $50,000 by Courtney Love to kill Kurt shortly before his "suicide".Scoff if you like, but Duce took not one,but TWO polygraph tests on the subject and passed both of them with flying colours! And as his friend, may I say that Duce had MANY vices, but lying was NOT among them!

P.S. Duce himself was run over by a TRAIN shortly after going public with Courtney's offer....HMMMMMMMMMMMM.
