So I don't know if I've got two days left in this job or seven... The way people are talking it's two but I was certain the switchover wasn't meant to happen until the start of August. Hmmm. I've been aiming to have everything done by the end of this week and just have the niggly things to deal with next week so I'm more or less okay, but it does mean I'm building up the flexi again - starting at 8 and leaving at 6. And I wonder why I get so ill? Hmmm.

Anyways, better get back to cataloguing Israeli Slavonic journals. Joy.

(I think it may well have been shades of Beckland randomness which led to Brody Hutzler asking me in the signing session, in the nicest possible way of course, if I was drunk! He looked a bit worried when I explained that that was my normal self!)

Nope, not yet anyway! Yay!

I'm on my own in this department now - no one else stayed past 5 o'clock. I just catalogued this silly journal called "Khomer" (it's in cyrillic) and I was stamping the covers, not really paying attention to them when I got to issue 5. Full frontal nudity. I'm not kidding. Really. I want to know what the hell this journal is!!!! http://eleanor.lib.gla.ac.uk/record=b2188857 is the record I just downloaded and altered. Doesn't give any indication as to why there would be full-frontal nudity on issue 5 does it?

that wasn't the worst of it - I didn't actually look all that closely and hey, it was in Russian which I can't read all that well, but the pciture was either a hermaphrodite or the picture was severly doctored - apparently female with male 'bits'. Not something I partucalrly want to be seeing again any time soon...
