flaffing
that is such a great word! Anyone know how one goes about getting a word added to the dictionary? I've been flaffing all afternoon. My job officially finished on Friday, there's been a little bit of mopping up and I'm now done. Completely.

So I have a bunch of journals on my desk which are just to be discarded and are only there to make it look like I'm still working because I feel kinda bad for the woman whose job I'll be learning tomorrow - she's flapping (as opposed to flaffing) around trying to get things finished in less than two hours.

It's great to just sit back and flaff now....

It's such a great feeling to know that I will never have to deal with any of this again!

I don't know how one gets a word added to the dictionary. But I do know that "quiz" was a created word. So there may be hope for "flaffing".

Yay! Well done, Sho:)

To get flaffing into the dictionary I think you need to try and get it in print a number of times in thinks which are widely available. I think Colin and Edith (Radio 1) are currently trying to get the phrase 'sucking on diesel' into the dictionary. They talked recently to some dictionary guy after this year's new words list was released about how new words and phrases appear in dictionaries and how they should go about it. (Bit sad that new words means that old ones get killed off:( A friend used to work for Harper Collins dictionaries - and apparently having to do that bit isn't nice.)

Beck.
