time flies....
... it's Wednesday already? Wow! Anyways, just my usual fly-by morning post. As I gushed last night, Motorcycle Diaries is fantastic, everyone should see it!

Don't have much else to say this morning, so this is really a pointless post isn't it? *g*

Nothing's pointless. Gives me a chance to tell you that I'm watching 'Deep Throat' (The x-files episode before you start getting any ideas), and guess who's guest starring in it, yep that perenial favourite, Seth Green.

Andy

PS pity I'm not going to be able to watch it all as I've got to be in work at 10:00.

Pointless posts are good. :)

And it gives me a chance to say that I was watching Anne last night and was amused by how Marxist it is. How exactly did they get that past the Warner Bros execs?!!

Before that I watched the Becomings, and noted again how much of a paradigm shift the death of Kendra is for the audience's reaction to Drusilla. Before that I can't help liking Dru. Afterwards... goodness, no.

I adore the subtle (and not so subtle) Marxist symolism in Anne. Could it possibly be that the WB didn't recognise it? Somehow or other ME got away with putting the most obvious symbol in the opening credits for the year - maybe even for the next two years (I usually skip through the credits - the joys of dvds!)

You've got to Anne already? Quick work! You were just up to Ted at the weekend weren't you?

Joss says he hadn't noticed the hammer and sickle but was quite pleased when it was pointed out. But even so, there's the whole alienation and workers' uprising themes.

You can probably get away with an awful lot on a show that people think is "just for kids" (so long as it doesn't involve sex.)

I'm struggling to remember now - is there a shot in Anne where Buffy actually breaks the chains holding the prisoners? I think there might be.

it doesn't, you know
I'm talking about time flying. It feels to me like it should be at least Thursday, maybe even Friday. Although this may be a hang-up from last week when I was off Monday/Tuesday. So I guess I'll cope.

As for Anne, I can't remember to be honest if there is anything where she breaks the chains. I must have a re-watch at some point.
