Busy... stress...
Still alive... stressed... work sucks...

writing again though so yay!

edit

Sorry 'bout that. Work is indeed sucky at the moment for a variety of reasons most of which seem to have a lot to do with my ever-shortening attention span...

Sorry, what was I saying? *grin*

Anyways, just found out I have to get my house surveyed so that I can get my finances sorted. I had to phone the surveyers to arrange a 'mutually convenient time' for them to come out. Odd how the mutually convenient thing only relates to their convenience isn't it? I work 40 miles away from where I live, I am out of the house for at least 10 hours a day, Monday to Friday just for work. And they won't come out in the evenings or at the weekend.

So how is it mutually convenient that I have to take a day off work?

grrr.

Weekend is now going to be spent trying to get all the half-done diy stuff finished along with clearing out the junk room to convince the surveyer that it is indeed a second bedroom.

Fun.

It's the same as the electricity meter reading people putting a card through your door saying they're coming back the next day to read your meter, which they can't 'cause we're both out.

On a related note, why is it no-one's ever sent out to read my gas meter which is outside the house?

I once had a parcel delivery company try to deliver the thing at the exact same time of the day three days in a row despite the fact that I phoned the depot to tell them I'd be at work and there was no point...

Thet probably do come to check your gas meter, they have the key thingy to get into the box so they can do it without letting you know.

They don't. Every time the statement comes through I've got to go outside myself to find out how much they've over-estimated it by, with the result that we're now over £100 in credit and we've halved the monthly direct debit *G*
