Ho Hum
So yet again I had to cut away early from the big group scene on [livejournal.com profile] _end_of_days - sorry guys! Anyone got any suggestions for jobs which mean I don't have to get up at stupid o'clock in the morning? *grin*

Voting closes tonight on the White Knight Awards - go vote! I'm nearly caught up on the votes already cast so...

I'm taking Wednesday off work so that I can do a scene on EOD late night Tuesday and also so that I can get the winners buttons done so the announcements will be made by Friday at the latest! Some of the categories are really, really close - the lead changes with very nearly every vote cast - so you can make a difference!

Being honest, I think you were as well cutting when you did. Me and Missy probably acheived more for our characters in the two hour scene that we did immediately afterwards.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 09:52 am (UTC)
Yeah, I did read the rest of the post and it didn't look as though all that much was acheived.

I'm going to do a Xander/Vi post later - have him tell her what happened in it and maybe have them reach a decision about what to do.

Remind me - were the other Slayers mentioned on these proto-patrols?
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:08 am (UTC)
It wasn't mentioned who was going to do what. Angel mentioned things that he felt needed to be done, Oz added things that Angel had missed out (Notice how nobody noticed Oz trying to step up into a leadership role), and I bet you really noticed the rush from everyone else to say, yeah I'll do the weapons training, yeah I've got some magickal ability, I want to go out on the patrols. Nobody offering themselves into doing the things Angel and Oz had suggested.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:15 am (UTC)
Cool, okay. I should have the Xander/Vi post done tonight then.

I guess we should think about doing another Xander & Oz post at some point soon? (I'm free tomorrow night and pretty much all day Wednesday.)
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:18 am (UTC)
I'll be free all day Wednesday as well (I've got two days off this week for a change). And depending on how you want to play it maybe get a Lindsey/Xander scene dome as well. Depends if you want Lindsey to actually find Xander alone or whether he's gonna have to try and get into the hotel to find him. And I thought you'd taken Wednesday off so that you could do a scene on Tuesday night. Or is there the possibility that that one won't happen, again.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:24 am (UTC)
No, still doing the scene on Tuesday, I just can't sleep after the sun's up - I'm like a reverse vampire (or Velvet - I finished watching NeverWhere yesterday morning...) So I'll be about.

The scene I'm doing on Tuesday will be starting at 11pm our time so, plus it's not actually the scene you think it is. *grin*

Xander/Lindsey scene - so long as this isn't the scene then yup, we can have them meet up. In fact, given what might happen on Tuesday, that would be a good plan I think.
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:27 am (UTC)
Well, Lindseys gonna try and convince him to come across to the dark side. If Xander doesn't want to come I don't think he'll try and force him, at the minute. But don't be surprised if he tries a kidnap attempt.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:34 am (UTC)
yeah - figured that would be the case. Okay, provisionally then yes. The reason it's provisional is depending on what happens on Tuesday night - but it's not all that likely to affect it.
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:37 am (UTC)
Okay. Could this be someone else trying to move their character along, or is the scene purely developmental for Xander?
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:40 am (UTC)
mostly developmental for Xander to be honest, but an opportunity for the other character as well - depends on how we play it really.
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:48 am (UTC)
I'm still a bit bitchy 'cos of the fact that the big group meeting didn't actually acheive anything last night (Kinda like the first one), but there are a few of us trying to develop storylines for our characters.

It seems as though Whistlers storyline is going to have to wait for a while as it seems it's gonna take about another year before they're even close enough to being considered a fighting force within the city.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:50 am (UTC)
I guess we need a fight or tow, something to get the ball rolling. Or maybe have one of the characters seriously hurt or killed...

*cough* [livejournal.com profile] nhamo_eod
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:50 am (UTC)
two even, not tow
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:52 am (UTC)
Yeah, but nobody has met Nhamo, except for Xander, so nobody knows she even exists.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:55 am (UTC)
*grin*

couldn't possibly comment
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:56 am (UTC)
Are you trying to say that somebody else at the Hyperion does know she exists?
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 10:58 am (UTC)
Yup.

She's a Slayer, she has a Watcher (even if he's not there anymore and hates being called that...) and the Watchers' Council know about her...
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:00 am (UTC)
Ahhh, forgot about that. So Giles knows her as well?
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:00 am (UTC)
Knows of her, yes. Knows what she looks like? Probably not.
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:03 am (UTC)
But is she ever gonna get to L.A to be able to introduce herself? (Subtly trying to drag the info out of you as to actually what happened to her the othr day) :)
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:05 am (UTC)
Read her journal. She got stabbed by a Bringer, one of the guys she's got helping her shot the Bringer before he could finish the job but she's probably dying...

*grin*

Not telling you anymore than that. :P
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:08 am (UTC)
I read it. Seems like she's dead to me.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:08 am (UTC)
yup.

What a shame.

*grin*
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:09 am (UTC)
SO HOW'S SHE GONNA GET TO L.A IF SHE'S DEAD?
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:10 am (UTC)
I'M NOT TELLING YOU!!!

*grin*
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:11 am (UTC)
And how much do I hate 'This Morning' at the minute? They've got an actor from 'Hex' on. And they've just mad a reference to Buffy, buty said it was more 'grown up' than Buffy. Do they not realise that the videos and dvd's are rated 15?
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:13 am (UTC)
Yeah, but the big thing about Hex is that they're running around in their knickers at every given opporunity.

I just realised I won't be watching it anyway - it's up against Carnivale so that wins hands down for me.
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:15 am (UTC)
I won't be watching it either then. :)
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:24 am (UTC)
Don't imagine all that many people will really.

You can tell I'm upset I'm not going to see it can't you?
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:26 am (UTC)
Yeah, as upset as I am. I think it's gonna be a really cool series, and I'm horribly disappointed that I'm not going to be able to watch it.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:28 am (UTC)
it's the bright shining hope for UK drama series...

Oh wait, that's actually a show I do want to see - Spooks, starts back tonight 9pm BBC1 *grin*
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:29 am (UTC)
:). They say that about every new tv series.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:30 am (UTC)
yeah, but Spooks is actually good, where Hex looks like shit.

*grin*
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:45 am (UTC)
Yeah, they showed a scene and the dialogue is just, rubbish.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:46 am (UTC)
but I bet the girlies were scantily clad weren't they?

Me? A cynic? Never!
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:47 am (UTC)
No they weren't actually, must have been the one scene from the episode that they weren't.
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:48 am (UTC)
And issues much?
[identity profile] acrazywench.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:50 am (UTC)
Bring back Richard and Judy to This Morning is what I say - at least they knew their Buffy! (All thanks to their daughter Chloe who they set up for a surprise hug from David Boreanaz when he appeared on the show. Green looked good on me that day!*g*)

Beck.
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:52 am (UTC)
They fucking didn't know there Buffy. When they had Alyson Hannigan on they were talking about her 'gay' storyline, and even though Alyson said she thought that hadn't aired here yet, they said it had.

It had only aired on Sky. So any viewers who were at BBC pace were spoiled as to the fact that Willow was gonna become gay and therefore split up with Oz.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:54 am (UTC)
I repeat what you said to me - 'issues much'?

*grin*
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:57 am (UTC)
Sorry. I had already been spoiled for that. It's basically the only reason I got Sky. But I've never forgiven Richard and Judy for doing that as I know how protective Joss and the cast were about storylines getting out before the episodes had aired.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 11:55 am (UTC)
LOL! I really don't like Richard & Judy but I've got to admit, they were good for sheer entertainment value!
[identity profile] acrazywench.livejournal.com on October 11th, 2004 12:10 pm (UTC)
Think about what I'm using for comparison here, Andy:) I'm not saying R&J did a marvellous interview, just that at least they gave the impression that they had some idea of what they were talking about. I didn't see the AH interview with R&J, but it sounds like I was spoiled by Dermot O'Leary/T4's interview in the same week - so it wasn't just them doing the spoiling. Although R&J's Buffy related interview might not have been good, it was bearable compared to later interviews with cast members I saw on the Big Breakfast and whatever it's replacement was. Those interviews either portrayed Buffy and Angel as kids shows, or as shows watched only by geeks and nutters, and occasionally the interviewers were rude and dismissive of the guests not just the fans.

Beck.
