8 days!!
I have to wait eight days for an appointment at my doctor's surgery!! And that's not even with my own GP!

Eight days?! Gah!

it's normally a lot quicker than that to be honest, I've no idea why it's going to be so long a wait.

grrr

Try seeing a specialist. or worse, waiting for an operation.

And when you're actually in the hospital, NOT getting MRSA is akin to winning the lottery. You really want to do it, but the odds are stacked against you.

In the past month, I've had two hospital appointments postponed (one by 3 months and one by eight).

But hey, if I had money....

despite the fact that I constantly seem to have something wrong with me, I rarely go to the doctors. Given what you've gone through I'm quite glad of that!

With a neck injury, you really should see someone. And insist all the tests be done.

I didn't and paid for it.

Yeah, that's why I finally cracked and made an appointment. Of course you know that by the time I do go it'll be cleared up and I'll be pain-free.

*sigh*

**Hugs** Sho.

It's always the way that whatever ailment is causing the problem miraculously clears up just before you see the doc. What's that all about?! *Evil*

Well if it helps any I'm trying to get in touch with my surgery to let them know I want to pick up a repeat prescription. On the repeat form it says I have to contact them at least 48 hours before I want to pick the prescription up. What it doesn't say on the form is that they will either be engaged or out to lunch when you call! I first called on Monday, tried twice yesterday, and have so far tried twice today. I'm sure at some point I will get through to a human being - just not sure when!!

It's an evil conspiracy to make us take time off work more often.

*grin*

*Bloody hell!*

Just got through to the surgery - I have to either physically take the prescription back to them or post it to them and it will be 48 hours from then that it will be filled. What's the point of giving repeats if it means you end up having to go back to the doc's anyway? Why not just say come back in ...? Or why couldn't they at least put on the form that you'll have to send it back to them?

(I know it makes sense that they have to authorise a repeat prescription somehow, but what's the point in me having to look after a piece of paper for three months and then having to take it back to them?! It's totally pointless - just leads to frantic searching for paper at a ridiculous hours of the night! It's not as if the doctor wants/needs to see me again or anything so I just don't get it!)

Hehehe, but part of that evil conspiracy is making you work when you're ill, then forcing you to take time off to go and see the doctor when you're totally fine.

You still get it checked out, there could be an underlying problem.

I didn't get my problem checked out because my GP assured me it was just a muscle strain and being a macho guy, I gutted it out for nine months before going back for a second opinion. As a result I ended up with permament nerve damage to my legs.

With a neck you could lose partial use of your arms.
