dilemma
[livejournal.com profile] smhwpf, [livejournal.com profile] willowmina and [livejournal.com profile] rileysaplank look away now...

One of the fic lists I'm in (in fact, the one I run...) is having a Secret Santa ficathon. The deadline is today.

I'm not finished my fic, it's currently standing at 2500 words and could easy go to ten times that - every time I sit down to write it, or proofread it, all these little pellets of inspiration keep hitting me dead centre.  So my dilemma is this, where I am right now is a natural chapter end. Should I go ahead and post this part as chapter one and post the rest over the next few days - or, should I carry on with it today and hope no one at work makes comments like "you don't normally type that fast when it's work related, Sho"?

One of the stipulations of the ficathon is that until all the fics are posted the writers remain anonymous, so it could be that I'm making people wait to claim credit for their work simply because I didn't start writing mine early enough.

Arghhh! What to do?!!

The BBBFic (http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/BBBFic) - it grew out of a Buffy discussion board (which I also run... *g*) when it became clear that there were a few talented writers on there. It's been running for just over a year now and once I get my act together and archive it properly, the fics are posted on the Stacks Fiction site (http://www.geocities.com/stacksfic)

I'm thinking chapters are going to be the way to go as well, I really doubt it'll be completely finished today.
