So I had a bunch of stuff I wanted to get done over the break from work but did I get any of it done? Did I buggery.

Next to no writing, no real housework, no proper cooking, nothing.

And I've got less that 24 hours before I go back to the hellhole and I just know there's stuff I was meant to do in December that I didn't do.

Wonderful.

And I'm going to have spend today moving furniture, my new neighbour is definitely a night owl and did not shut up until about 2am. It's nothing I can complain about really, they didn't have music playing or anything, it was just them moving around, knocking into stuff and generally making normal noises. It kept me awake and it kept my dog awake, who barked a little and in turn probably kept the neighbour awake. So I'm moving into the front bedroom again. Wonderful.

Oh yeah, update on the plumbing emergency - it's sorted! Yay!

*hugs*

Do you ever get everything done that you wanted to? You got some cool Icons done though.

Glad your plumbing emergency has been sorted out, just got to get your neighbours sorted out now.

nope, I never do. I really have to get myself a longer attention span so I stop taking on all these new projects.

As well as writing, I also have two web layouts I promised people that I've not even touched since last year. *sigh*

Still, cool icon! *grin*

You take on too much Sho. You should give yourself a break. The worlds not gonna fall apart if you just do nothing for a few weeks.

I know, I just find it really difficult to say no to some things and I do have a magpie tendancy to go after all things shiny and new.

Plus, I'm making a dress for the Serenity convention in April which is really complicated (yes [livejournal.com profile] smileawhile boning is involved - it's in the small print) and I need to make a start on it soon.
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on January 4th, 2005 02:19 am (UTC)
I take it you mean bining as in using bones to give the dress structure and not in any other sense, cos that'd just be wrong and totally change my view of you.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on January 4th, 2005 02:34 am (UTC)
don't mean bining in any sense of the word. In fact, is that a word?

*g*

Nah, adding bones to the front to hold the shape. Since it's strapless. In fact... the black one ()

kay, the link doesn't work. ooops try that (http://www.simplicity.com/designFrame.cfm?designId=11770&design=4876)
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on January 4th, 2005 02:38 am (UTC)
You know I meant boning. *grins*

And bining is a word, if you're putting something in the bin, you are in the process of bining it. *pfft*

You'd better make a start on the dress soon then, if it's going to be complicated.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on January 4th, 2005 02:41 am (UTC)

wouldn't that be binning?
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on January 4th, 2005 02:47 am (UTC)
*pfft* Bining, binning, what's the difference?

You're enjoying this aren't you?

*grin*
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on January 4th, 2005 02:49 am (UTC)
Well I'm glad I've put a smile on your face. Just need to find a way to put one on mine now. :(
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on January 4th, 2005 02:51 am (UTC)
aww

Are you back at work yet? Getting back into your normal routine might help.
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on January 4th, 2005 02:54 am (UTC)
Was back at work yesterday (That's how I knew the supermarkets would be open.) But my manager forget to tell me that the shop was shutting early and therefore I should've been in work early to get my hours in. So that really helped.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on January 4th, 2005 02:56 am (UTC)
that's awful! Did you say anything to your manager?
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on January 4th, 2005 02:59 am (UTC)
He knew, he was the one that told me. To say I wasn't pleased is a bit of an understatement.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on January 4th, 2005 03:02 am (UTC)
I meant did you ask him why he hadn't told you beforehand?
[identity profile] rileysaplank.livejournal.com on January 4th, 2005 03:04 am (UTC)
He forgot. Simple as that. Why he didn't phone me during the day when I didn't turn up for work early I don't know.

Oh yeah, update on the plumbing emergency - it's sorted! Yay!

When you get to your age you're bound to have plumbing emergencies...
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on January 4th, 2005 06:33 am (UTC)
HA! Since you're about the same age I take it you're speaking from personal experience then?
[identity profile] keith5by5.livejournal.com on January 4th, 2005 06:36 am (UTC)
You wound me, a knife is plunged through my heart.

I sob theatrically.
