INAP is nominated for best archive and best character/shipper site, and Crimson Regret is up for best dark/angst and best het fic!

I'm literally bouncing in my seat!

I'm really excited about this, it's my first nomination outside of WKA and although I didn't nominate myself there (or here!) there was still the feeling that since they were my awards then my own nomination was lesser somehow. Does that make sense?

Anyways, I'm still very excited about this!

Bizarrely enough, I was listening to an interview with Michael Morpurgo (the current Childrens Laureate) on the radio yesterday and he was asked if awards mattered to him - his reply was "the first one does." His reasoning being that up until he received his first award he felt that he was struggling to be recognised, but after that his sense of worth as a writer was constantly re-affirmed because he knew that at least someone thought he was good enough. Sweet thought isn't it?

I'm thinking this weekend may have been a turning point - financially I'm a lot happier and then this as well! Things are definitly looking up now!

Just had a look through the updated nominees list and Living Hostory is nominated for Most Unique plot. So YAY for that as well.

Hehehehehe. Plus your fics would have to be archived somewhere other than BBBFic I think. I'm sure it's got something about Yahoo groups in the rules somewhere. Basically because you have to join the group to read the post. But you've got a few posted to LJ so I suppose somebody could nominate those ones.

And your excitement over the nomination just made it worth the effort of wading through all the bad ones yesterday from people that can't follow simple directions or have no common sense. (had 3 Romance nominations that said there was no pairing).

I'm genuinly buzzed by this, still smiling hours after I got your email! (by the way, I meant to say to you that on the Het category there was no pairing listed for Crimson Regret, it's Xander/Faith if you want to add it?)

Thanks and I will add the change. The nomination listed several characters but didn't have any listed as a pairing so I assumed there was an actual pairing but didn't get a chance to go back and check it myself.

And yeah, I don't know what people are thinking when the nominate. I also get PwP's with no pairing and G rated Extreme fics. As far as I can tell maybe their nominating for extreme fluffiness.
