Heh!
I shouldn't be surprised at this, after all I'm a media graduate, but the idea of academic study of comic books still tickles me.

So I got a journal alert at work - I get these every day to let me know about new academic journals made available on the net.

This one's called "ImageText" http://www.english.ufl.edu/imagetext/

I don't think we're adding it to the catalogue, but I think I might be bookmarking it myself!

Next you'll be telling us that people can study 'television or film only' languages like Klingon or Elvish.

Or maybe even looking at the cultural impact of TV shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

That must have been good, being able to watch TV shows for credit.

:p

yeah, those four years of not sleeping and exploring post-modernity were a breeze. Honest they were. All we did was sit around and watch tv shows all day.

Baudrillard? Foucout? Jameson? Nah. We din't do none of that, guv. We just watched the gogglebox...

That's good then, just making sure you didn't put yourself out too much.

What I'm wondering is if anyone will ever be allowed to submit a PhD thesis written in Klingon or Elvish!

It really wouldn't surprise me if it had actually been done to be honest!

"It really wouldn't surprise me if it had actually been done to be honest!"

If it has been done/someone does it, I bet the search for external examiners was/would be a bundle of laughs!*g*

Sorry to hear about your 'incident' on Monday Sho. Hope you're feeling all better now.

*hugs*

Beck.
