So apparently I know my alcohol... (even if I have to think twice before spelling it!)

Bourbon
Congratulations! You're 109 proof, with specific scores in beer (60) , wine (100), and liquor (86).

Screw all that namby-pamby chick stuff, you're going straight for the
bottle and a shot glass! It'll take more than a few shots of Wild
Turkey or 99 Bananas before you start seeing pink elephants. You know
how to handle your alcohol, and yourself at parties.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
You scored higher than 23% on proof
You scored higher than 87% on beer index
You scored higher than 92% on wine index
You scored higher than 94% on liquor index

Well I went with Canadian Whisky being the spelling mistake.

See I went with Irish Whisky - I always thought the only one which could be spelled without the 'e' was Scotch. Just like there's only three things that can actually be 'Scotch' - whisky, beef and those horrible eggs covered in ham and breadcrumbs - everything else is Scottish.

I always thought that as well. Is it trademarked though? If it's not Scotch does it have to be spelt with the E. Maybe that's where the confusion is.

I'm fairly sure it is trademarked, or copyrighted, or something. Might check out the whisky board to see for sure.

What about Scotch Corner? Hehehehe

That's the English misspelling a place name which has worked it's way into the common language. :P

There was a lovely discussion about what was 'Scotch' in a Just a Minute years ago with I think it was Clement Freud saying that salmon should also be Scotch rather than Scottish. Of course after all the hesitation, repetition and deviation there was only one way for Paul Merton to finish the subject in the last remaining second:

"OVOID, OVOID, OVOID!"

In a different show there were two different views about where the Highlands (the topic for that minute) began. A third panelist, when starting with the topic, said 'there is a great deal of debate over where the highlands begin', to which one of the original panelists buzzed in with 'No there isn't!'. The topic then moved on to include a a ramble about The 39 Steps which then caused an argument about which actress was playing who and whether confused Chinese listeners would be writing in. (Paul was right, Nicholas was wrong, confusion of Chinese, or indeed any other people, was avoided.)

Ok, I'll stop now:) But the ramble was fun*g*

I couldn't do this meme at all. My knowledge on alcohol is quite limited - like to give me a beer/vodka/rum/schnapps/apple sourz.

Yeah, I think either are correct. And we are both Bourbons!

How are you? Been a while.
