I think I'm about ready to cry. Lost seems like it was a helluvan episode last night but I'm avoiding spoilers like the plague. All the sites I use to download from are down again. And showing no signs of recovery at all. And when I search through other torrent sites I don't normally use all I can find is up to episode 17...

Channel 4 has bought the rights to show Lost in the UK but they're not starting it 'till the summer and it looks like they'll be holding it back until the next series of Big Brother is finished (seriously, does anyone actually watch and enjoy reality shows anymore? Enquiring minds want to know!) So if I'm going to wait to see it here then it'll be around Christmas before they get to where I've seen up to and I'll probably have died of boredom by then...

Gah!!!

Plus, I haven't finished my essay and I can't write right now -cannot get into the right frame of mind at all. And the whole British Summer Time has really thrown me for a loop this week - I've been waking up later and later every day. Today was the worst - I have to leave my house before 7am to make sure I get to work at a reasonable time. I got up and all but fell into the shower at 6.55

I have evil Nescafe coffee now because it's all there is in the office (I didn't buy it and I treated the woman who did to my infamous 'why Nestle are evil bastards' speech so we're just using up the last of it before I bring in some FairTrade stuff) and the only reason I'm drinking it is because otherwise I would be sleeping at my desk.

This is so not a good day right now. Tuesday I sat and explained to a library user why a certain username wouldn't work on one particular site, he understood it at the time - I swear he did, today I come in to find he's emailed me at 6pm last night to ask when he can use that username on the site. Uh, never? Plus we have a very friendly and enthusiastic cleaner in our office who tries to be everyone's best friend. She talks constantly. And she starts sentences with "So I was saying.." When!? And to whom?! You weren't saying anything! You just started speaking and you're not going to shut up for twenty minutes despite the fact that I'm clearly typing away here, oh and by the way - that ruler you just picked up off the sheet of paper? Was actually marking my place in a list thank you ever so much...

I need a coffee. A real coffee....

ETA Looks like I've found a source for Lost now so that's good news. However, it's tempered by more bad news - Christopher Eccleston is worried he'll be typecast and is not going to be returning for a second season of Doctor Who despite the fact it's already been renewed. Billie Piper will be returning though. *sigh*

There's an LJ community which offers them for download but they're only up to episode 14 right now. I think I've found a site but I can't tet it on this pc - I need to wait till I get home. It's definitely listing the episode and seems active so... fingers crossed!

ok. Lost (Which I haven't got yet either) the sites I go to are bookmarked so the one I remember (darn my memory) is Fulldls with the american ending. It's not there yet, but sure it will be later.

Time diff, don't ask me. I only just got over jetlag.

Coffee, Go out to local coffee place ask for spoon of their coffee and eat it raw. Should keep you going for a while.

I think I've got a source now - looks as though it's active and listing the episode, now I just need to wait eight hours to get home and actually start the download... *g*

I snuck down to the vending machine and got a bottle of Irn Bru as well, hell if it's good for hangovers maybe it can wake me up on a normal day!

Thanks Gabrielle, it's just one of those weeks I guess, we were closed on Monday so it's only really a four day week for me but it feels like it's never ending!

Things will get better, chocolate is a great cure all for me when I'm like this.

Well both he and Billie Piper have had a bit of criticism on the Starfury posting board. At some point both seem to have said that events such as conventions are pretty sad and neither would consider doing them. (Did they know nothing about Dr Who and cult tv before signing up to it? It's not as if there was no information about being a Dr Who actor out there!!)

Do they know nothing? That's like being cast in one of the Star Trek franchises and saying you think conventions are sad.

I'm not saying I don't think Christopher Eccleston isn't a good Doctor, he is. It's just he doesn't seem to be thinking about the fans. This could actually cause a backlash against him which'll cause him to become unemployable because no one will want to watch what he's in.

I genuinly don't know why he signed up for it - surely he realised that there was a good possibility of it continuing to at least a second series if it was a success? This is just going to piss people off now. And the guy they're considering as the only possible replacement? Puh-lease! Of course that reaction could be just my absolute and utter hatred of the trailer for Casanova (Sex Pistols hate - strange for me to say that I know but I loathe them, I'm dealing with it *g*)

It's definitely a failing on the Beeb's part - they should have got him to sign the kind of contract they have in US shows, contracting him for multiple seasons if the show gets picked up.

Now we've sorted out Lost on to Doctor Who....

It does seem a bit ridiculous of Mr Eccleston giving it up so quickly. Why accept such a role if you're prepared to do at least a few seasons.

Although I am heartened by the fact that David Tennant is being touted as the front runner. I've been majorly impressed by him in Casanova and could definitely see him donning the mantle of the good Doctor. Although there is, of course, the danger that the rumour's only started to help promote Casanova as it moves to BBC 1 this week.....

I haven't seen Casanova at all yet but the trailer bugs me a lot. I hadn't even thought about it being a possible ploy to promote it on BBC1 actually. Hmmm.
