Horribly hungover, last night was hella fun but right now I have to go curl up and die for a few hours.

I owe you all replies and emails and the like, I will send them when my head isn't about to explode.

ETA why the hell has my neighbour started playing Scottish music at very high volume? And I'm talking drums and bagpipes here... He's only a couple of years older than me - surely he doesn't actually *like* listening to this crap?

Current Music: blessed silence (not any more apparently!)
Current Mood: groggy

Ermmm, I guess now would not be a good time to confess that I love the sound of bagpipes and if I thought I could, I'd learn to play them? *sheepish smile*

Don't get me wrong, I do like bagpipes in their place. I just hate the military marches which is what was coming through the horribly thin wall earlier. It was just torture.

I have a few friends who play the pipes and it's not actually as difficult as it might seem - you should give it a go.

Right there with you, with the military marches. I don't like those no matter what instrument is playing them. :)

Is it Traditional Drums and Pipes, 'cos that's kinda ehhhh.

But if it's got a more modern feel to it, or it sounds like the kind of stuff they'd play to scare the shit out of their enemies when going to battle then it can be pretty cool.

Miltary marches. The Trad stuff - it was like the Tattoo going on next door.

Gah.

Like I said to Leslie, I do like the pipes in their place (I still really like Runrig and other bands that have used pipes in their music) I just can't stand the stuff my neighbour was playing. Maybe 'cause I was a majorette when I was younger and that's what we used to do our routines to.

Man, I feel your pain.

After you left here I went back to bed for a couple of hours. I then got up, had a breakfast beer, and watched TV til 7 when I went for a nap on the couch. I'm just now mobile, and that's only because I desperately want Capri Sun's and Chinese food.

Bagpipe music is a horror I'm glad I'm only imagining.
