I say no, but then again, I tend to be bitchy. *snerk* Or just give her a card. After all, it seems to me as if you run around all the time for her without getting muchin return - why do you need to do more?
That's kind of the path I was thinking of taking. Last year I got her a pretty cool present - a DVD player - but there's no way I'm buying anything like that for her right now. Unless it was rigged to start playing at really loud volumes at 3am or something... *g*
Someone at work just suggested I get her a card and put in a voucher for babysitting or something. That's a possibility I guess!
Problem is she won't appreciate it at all. She never does.
I probably will get her something, quite what that might be I don't know. My normal fall-back of getting her alcohol has been scuppered for three years now, she's either been pregnant or breast-feeding. I need a new fallback!
Firefly dvds? (All's fair in siblingness and guerilla marketing;))
I spoke to my brother yesterday and he asked what I wanted for my birthday. He was expecting my usual response of 'I dunno, I'll think about it, honest', but instead he got 'I ordered Finding Serenity on Thursday, so that will do nicely'! His response was an excited 'Oh, is that soemthing to do with Firefly?'. (I gave him Firefly in March, he and my sister-in-law started watching it about three weeks ago and are now converts desperate for more and upset that there isn't any! So then I told him all about this lovely film that's coming soon and how almost exactly a week ago Nathan Fillion had his arm around me!)
You know, that and the suggestion to get her a credit card application form, is possibly the best suggestion yet! She's kind of into Star Trek so if I get her this she might appreciate it - if she doesn't like it then I'll probably get them back and I'll have a set I can watch without worrying about wrecking the case with all the prety signatures on it!
*scuttles off to check the prices on various sites*
mow that would be a good idea! Nah, I've got dvds that I want and I know she'll never appreciate, plus I'm going to 'accidentally' include a credit card application form in her card (so she can stop asking me for money) and I may pick up a few other little odds and ends that I like and she doesn't just to really rub it in!
