I actually didn't think this episode was up to the standard of the rest of the series, but can understand why the episode might have some resonance for you.

Anything set in mid-80s is going to be naff, and yes all in the story kinda wasn't great. But it's that 'what if' that really got to me. And when he left the church, looking shit-scared but doing it anyway? Could not blink away that errant tear.

Oh if Eccleston grins like that once more? I'll hunt him down.
