so, I'm not at Club Noir. I'm not even at [livejournal.com profile] engelsteorra's house getting ready to got o Club Noir. Instead I'm sitting here burning up and a little bit blown away by the latest episode of Doctor Who!

I'm glad they did the whole recap thing about the number of mentions of Bad Wolf there's been 'cause I missed them apart from the helicopter pilot iin the Dalek episode.

It's a shame in a way that they've given it such an early timeslot since it means there's a lot of things they can't really show or have to cut back on - although I just watched Doctor Who Confidential and apparently the only thing the BBC censors asked them to cut was the shot of Cap'n Jack's bum. (and just where was he hiding that gun anyway? *g*)

I thought the whole piss-take on reality TV was hilarious - even if it turns out Russell T. Davies actually likes reality tv apparently. The whole back-stabbing and tactical voting in the Weakest Link played brilliantly (although I just thinking how bizarre it was to see the Marquis de Carabas standing there... serves me right for watching Neverwhere again!)

All in all, really good episode, feels like Eccleston is finally getting into the character. Shame next week is his last outing in the role, huh?

Right - I'm now going to go curl up again and go sleep this off...

'Twas a very good episode, I'd missed a lot of the Bad Wolf references as well.

Not good, Sho - I hope the sleep helps.

Just watched Bad Wolf myself - the recap thingy was extremely useful as this was actually the first full episode I watched this series, I didn't think I'd like it so I've not been watching but then Ben recorded it tonight as we were practicing and then watched it while we were eating tea - probably not the best episode to discover you like the show - then.

Anyway's hope you're feeling better soon *g*

I've been working on that banner I told you I might work on all afternoon. I've got something that, if it doesn't go to you, I think I'll put it on my LJ. It's a bit dark still, color-wise, but I'm working on that. May I send it to you for an opinion at some point?

I really hope you feel better. You've got another full day of weekend by my clock, and I believe you still do by yours, too. Or at least close to one. Take it easy!

And darkness could be fine - I can change the background of the site to match in with it so don't worry too much about that!

(I just posted the rules (such as they are - only thing I've added to what I posted before was the file format would be better as jpg or gif rather than anything else).

I'm feeling a little better today - I was feverish yesterday afternoon and that seems to have gone. The hacking cough has settled down as well leaving me with just a really constricted throat and no voice - which some would say is a good thing!

I'm going to go out later, get some fresh air and see if that helps. Then I'm coming back and talking to Dawn. Left her crying and looking for comfort for over 24 hours now - poor girl! Xander should be shot. *grin*

Doctor Who was great, even though another resident of my accommodation spent 20 mins moaning about how he didn't like it. I felt like punching him, I wasn't going to change the channel *g*. The only Bad Wolf references I've got are the one written on the tardis and the welsh one last week which they pointed out. Could have done without the daleks being in the promo though since it was meant to be a big reveal at the end.
