Something like what, Charlie? Channel Four in their infinite wisdom decided to cut that part...

*headdesk*

Why am I surprised at that? Channel Four screw up everything they get their hands on....

(Edited - really quickly made an icon from the final shot of the show to show the UKers what you missed)

And it was past the 9pm watershed as well so why they didn't show it is unfathomable.

I noticed a couple of other cuts as well - the pilot being pulled out of the plane, and am I right in thinking during Jack's flashback you see the back of the plane ripped off? I know you see it in Kate's but I thought it was in Jack's as well.

Doesn't bode well for the rest of the season does it?

I'm not too sure about Jack's flashback, but you've probably seen the uncut version more recently than me so I'd go with your memory of it.

TBH, I expected it to be cut quite a bit so although I'm disappointed I'm not surprised.

I will agree that the last shot is kinda gory, but it's also kinda crucial to the plot. (Basically it's the pilot gutted and spread out on the top of the trees. Not pretty at all)

That was the only *major* cut, but there was the odd little thing that seemed to be a little shorter than it should've been.

Is it just me or did there seem to be a hell of a lot of commercial breaks? I know the shows only run for about 40 minutes each, but there seemed to be about 6 or 7 breaks in there.

Gah - I'm bad - I missed it. I got home and was feeling tired and completely forgot.

You should be able to, in fact... if you read Off Course and just imagine it without Xander and the other BtVS character there then it's pretty much the first part of the pilot episode encapsulated...

I could persuade either the parents or the parents-in-law (nearly) - but someone else on my FList just alerted me to the fact that it's repeated on C4 on Saturday night - so I'll catch it then.
