Wanna see something horrible?
I almost stood on this this morning. Just as well I had a coffee before going for my shower. The hairbrush is a normal sized one and is just there for persepctive.

There's a bit in one of Stephen King's books - Needful Things - where the woman with arthritis finds she's been carrying around a horrible freaky gigantic spider thing in a locket round her neck. The locket breaks and the spider grows to it's true size and she has to battle the thing. That's how I felt earlier. Just as well we don't have poisonous spiders in this country!

And yeah, I have a peach bath. It'll be replaced with a white suite when I can afford to replace it.

Heh! I don't normally have a problem with spiders but this is the second time in as many weeks there's been a giant one in my house - the last one was right behind my bed. *shudders*

And thanks! I do love the new banners we have for it - I may have to run the design contest as an annual thing since there's so much graphics talent out there!

That's a fair size. Looks a bit like what we'd call a Huntsman, they have a nasty habit of jumping straight at you off walls just when you're about to hit them. I don't mind them so much, unlike Scotland we Aussies do have a *cough* few venomous spiders.

Gah! They jump?! At you? Yikes! Normally I'm okay with them, but they're getting bigger it seems and they're coming inside now. Gah! Guess it could have something to do with the fact my garden got blitzed yesterday for the first time in months, maybe I destroyed the spider's home and it felt the need to take up residence in my bathtub...

And yeah, don't you guys have more venomous spiders per head of capita than anywhere else in the world? *grin*

Per head of capita I reckon we've got the most venomous of *everything*!

Strangely enough the only thing that really freaks me out are saltwater crocodiles, and I live thousands of miles away from the Top End so its all in my head but that's beside the point. Those things just don't give a shit about delusions of granduer of where we humans sit in the food chain.

I lived in a house with what I later learned were vipers in the walls. And there were a couple of spiders in the attic.

And I was scared of the spiders.

I'm weird, I know.

Then again, I was very small at the time. Now I'm older and more knowledgeable. I'm still scared of spiders but snakes scare me just as much... *g*
