home...
Convention was fantastic, am very tired - just got in after a five hour drive. Yeah, I got a little lost leaving Blackpool. What is it with the English and their hatred of road signs?! Almost as bad as Edinburgh...

Anyways - safe and sound, will get to the emails and replies soon - not too bad this time, only 189 all in... 'course, I haven't checked Yahoo or Gmail yet...

will try to post actual coherant stuff about the convention at some point before those brain cells die off but I just have this to say - Robia La Morte? George so kicked your ass in that dance off! (And the gratuitous flashing of a Hertzberg nipple in no way influences my judgement of the matter.... *g*

You telling me ADAM beat a Prince singer / dancer in a dance off?
*Brain is broken.*

Well if enthusiasm counts then I would say absolutely!

Was too tired to stay long after the closing ceremony last night (plus the people I was there with were driving home anyway so I took advantage of the empty flat...) but Clare Kramer challenged Robia to round two - would have been interesting to see how Glory would have fared... (and whether any body parts would be flashed...)

I'm at work now, please don't put that sort of image in my brain! *g*

And hey, glad you had fun.

*grin*

'kay, I'll leave out the image of one of the male guest stars showing us what he was wearing under his kilt... Twice. *g*

Honey, Glory/Jenny dancing with possible flashing is far more interesting as far as I'm concerned. :)

But I'm wondering if this sort of thing happens all the time in conventions? Or maybe it's only in the UK, cos' you liquor up the guests? :)

Cos' if that's the general behaviour I might shoot myself for missing Eliza Dushku's next convention, in Boston I believe.

And hey, I'm happy you've found interesting 'things' in the convention. *s*

hehehe! Really depends on the convention to be honest - I've done more than I really want to think about in the past few years (given the amount of money I tend to spend at them!) and some are quite sedate in the evenings. When you get live wires like George Hertzberg, James Leary, Christian Kane, Stephanie Romanov, Jonathon Woodward, Felicia Day, Neil Roberts, J August... and I know I'm missing others here - they come out and spend time with the attendees and really get the atmosphere going. (Not all of those guests were at this con by the way).

The cons I go to are all organised by Starfury and one of the regular sights there is the Jedi Chefs (http://www.jedichefs.com/) who come along (as paying attendees) with their lightsabers. The number of stars we've seen falling over themselves to have a go with them is hilarious! Most of them are up here (http://www.jedichefs.com/celebrities.html). Those guys being there usually ends up fascinating the guests so much that they loosen up around the fans and do things they maybe wouldn't do normally (at least without the influence of hard liquor anyway...)

And sorry that's so long - I'm waffling now!

Thanks for the Celeb Jedi Link Sho - I have seen some, but not Nathan's or Ron's - they really went for it too, and I just love the expression on Danny Strong's face.

A pity I missed that, but with the hotel situation Saturday turned into a long day and I was knackered so left just after 11.

We really missed you there! I have a ton of stories to tell you (including me being a brazen hussy towards Neil!) and I come bearing gifts. One of which you will get such a kick out of!

We need to arrange a meet up soon so I can offload give you all this stuff!
