meme and random stuff.
so yeah, I'm updating really quickly because I'm bored and should be writing. Actually, to be honest I should really be working but hey, it's not like anyone's going to notice in this place..

So a meme, lifted from [livejournal.com profile] acme54
Your Hair Should Be Orange

Expressive, deep, and one of a kind.
You pull off "weird" well - hardly anyone notices.

Not really sure what I think about Lost lately - I thnk once this semi-arc is over (and it's actually moved on past this one hour they've been looping around for the past three weeks) I'll watch them all back to back again. One good thing about it is that I got the urge to write Off Course again whilst watching it this morning, so that's got to be a good thing, right?

And it took forever for a Veronica Mars torrent to appear so I've not yet seen it - although it should be done by the time I get home tonight. Fingers crossed!

Oh! And I knew there was something more I was going to say - interest seems to be dropping off a little over at [livejournal.com profile] zeppo_stillness - we only had nine entries this week. :( Iconers? Anyone interested in maybe trying to make icons? Why not think about joining up and submitting your icons? Please?

And yeah, I kinda just did something a bit... daunting. I signed up for NaNoWriMo... 50,000 words in one month. This will my first real attempt at original fic that other people will read... Gah!

Good luck on the NaNoWriMo thing. Hope you already know what to write.

Thanks! I do have an idea for something I've been wanting to look into for a while now so I'm going to use this as an opportunity to try it out. Hopefully!

Thanks! I'll be interested to see if I actually manage to finish something!

When RL uncrazies itself a little bit for me, I'd be interested in joining [livejournal.com profile] zeppo_stillness. There might not be many entrants, but there are tons of unofficial lurkers, don't worry about that.

Which sort of gave me an idea I'm sure is a dumb one: there are people without LJs who read our journals. Why not pimp a special stillness event where the submissions are open to everyone? I mean, screen the anonymous comments and have entrants without LJs give an email address with their entries. Then, cook up some form of INAP based recognition of that. Sorry if this sounds stupid. I'm a bit under the weather and not working on all cylinders at the moment :)

I'm glad to hear you're going to try the 'wrimo thing too. Makes me less worried to have a virtual friend mad enough to do it as well *g*

Can't wait to read the result.

That sounds like it might be a good idea actually - a kind of amnesty for non-LJers. There's a banner design contest going on at the moment so maybe once that's done I could look into it.

And for the 'wrimo thing - I'm slightly worried that I'm going to end up with something that looks a lot like your icon... *g*

It's the self-editing that's tripping me up. I've got too many ideas and not much to say with them. So far, it's driving me a bit batty. I mean, I don't think a fic about an eight foot tall fluorescent orange rabbit called Norbert, recently returned from the war and down on his luck, being forced to become the getaway car driver in a heist to get the money to pay for his kid's heart-transplant actually even makes sense, does it? *s*

Dammit! How did we come up with the same idea like that? Gah! Now I have to go with the back up plan of the radioactive tortoise's struggle to achieve his life-long ambition of breaking the land-speed record. Ah well...

It's arty. I'd read it. :)
