I need amusement
I'm in a silly mood today and am insanely bored at work. The stupid data didn't transfer properly to Access because the person who downloaded it in the first place has done stupid things to it meaning I have to keep plugging away on Excel. I'm at American Journal of Psychiatry - this is going to take me forever....

Plus, my silliness is affecting NaNo right now - have you ever tried writing about corrupt police detectives whilst giggling at double entendres made by staff in the office? It's just not working, and since this whole thing I'm writing right now involves the introduction and background of my second main character I don't want to devolve into silliness just at this stage!

So, any ideas on things to keep me amused (and potentially out of trouble) this afternoon?

Too bad the data transfer didn't pan out.
Just what the heck did they do to the data anyhow?

Not too sure on the entertainment thing. I usually go to Apple to check some trailers when I'm bored, not too sure that'll work for you.

Your guess is as good as mine for what they did. It's just... random right now and I have to try to not only make sense of their system and compile monthly reports into annual reports, but also extract specific data from it. It's just insane!

I don't have a soundcard here so there's not a lot of point me watching trailers unfortunately. Good plan though! I could always provide my own soundtrack - hey! That might be *really* fun!

Sexual sub-text
Read and imagine what the heck is going on:

Spike to Xander: "Well that is bigger than I thought it would be."
Xander to Spike: "Hey!"

***

Buffy to Willow: "So that is what it feels like!"

***

Giles to Andrew: "Let us never talk of this again. And especially not about the whipped cream."

***

Faith to Dawn: "Fuck, D! That is some nasty shit!"
Dawn to Faith: "Oh like you've never done that before!"
Faith to Dawn:" Not with the entire Olympic swim team, I haven't!"

***

Angel to Spike: "I thought we said we would never do this again."

***

Now try and think up non-sexual situations to fit the circumstances implied. Your brain will melt. *g*

Entertainment
Hi, Sho.

Rob W here from GUL. Liking the new-look blog (though it's probably been like it for ages and I've been shockingly neglectful with dropping in but never mind).

First of all, if you need entertaining all you need is this: http://www.neave.com/games/pacman/game.php

Oh yeah! Look at him go! CONSUME! CONSUUUUME!

Secondly, I was wondering whether you, as a clever person, knew how to embed a livejoural successfully into a homepage. I've tried the html way that LJ recomends but nothing happens despite my fiddling with it (the code, that is). Any ideas?

Re: Entertainment
Bongiorno Roberto! How's it going? And yes, the layout has been like this for a while now... still, I won't take it personally.... *sob*

You've just helped me remember how much I suck at PacMan. *g*

And no clue on the embedding thing I'm afriad, it's not something I've tried so I've not really looked into it. One thing I do know is that it's more customisable with a paid or permanent account but you should still be able to do something with a free account. The problem might not be with the LiveJournal code - you're still hosted on Geoshitties aren't you? They tend to not support much in the way of external sites operating within their framework so it could be them screwing up on you. Want me to take a look at the code? (Of course that'll be after I get the glitches fixed on Stu's site that is! You could pass on the message for me actually... it's not quite done yet. Will be really soon though!)

Re: Entertainment
Saluton, my little Marasho!

Will pass the message onto Stu right away. And don't worry about that embedded code business. I think you're right when you suggest that the problem is at Geoshitties' end. I'll sort something out!

Very cool icon, by the way.

/me bookmarks this page so I don't forget to come back more often.

TTFN!
