Procastination: to put off something, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness.
I'm watching a Robson Green Sunday evening schmaltz drama. Only good thing about it is that they're using Embrace in the soundtrack.

Why am I doing this you ask? Because I'm procrastinating. I have actually done some writing today - nowhere near as much as I hoped I might, because I've been doing pretty much anything else other than write.

So in about ten minutes I'm taking the laptop through to a room away from TV, dvds, knitting, the internet, and I'm going to write until I get at least another 1000 words out.

Oh - and [livejournal.com profile] smhwpf? I finished the beta on the prologue you sent me - I love it to pieces and wouldn't change a thing about it as it stands. Can't wait to see where it goes from here!

I know how you feel...I need to get some writing done, too...

it's driving me more than a little insane now - even this morning, I'm not working today so what was the first thing I did? Picked up my knitting. Gah!

*must write*

Well, knitting is an accomplishment. I'm sure you will write soon!

Heh! At the moment it feels as if the only thing knitting is accomplishing is the interesting callous I'm getting on the index finger on my left hand... *g*

Stiil, someday it will be a hat...or a sweater...or an afghan...

Yes, it is.

Oh, yay! Thanks so much! I have a question mark in my mind about a plot point with this one, I may email you about this...

Cool - got the email and sent it back - and I do love the story to pieces!

Its the sign of a good actor when you can watch them in a crap movie. 'Cause you're still hoping their going to somehow pull it out of the bag. And dude, I so love Robson Green.

I love Robson in Touching Evil - so wish he'd go back to doing that kind of thing. The thing that was on last night was called "Rocketman" - he plays a widower who's an ex-miner in Wales who made a promise to send his wife's ashes into space on a home-built rocket. There's all sorts of touching family 'moments' as he tries to connect with his teenage daughter and his 10 year old son whilst honouring his promise and getting on with his life.

Schmaltz.
