Fanficton
Do you read or write fanfiction?yes - both
When did you first start reading/writing fanfiction?um... reading, about ten years ago, maybe a little longer. Writing - around six or seven years ago.
What was your first fandom?Star Wars:EU
First ship?Mara/Corran *g*
What website do you use most?LJ or INAP
What do you think of Fanfiction.net?Teh Ev0l
What fandoms have you written in?SW:EU, BtVS, AtS, Firefly/Serenity
Pairings?lots of 'em
Any fandoms you would like to write in?Stargate
Do reviews affect how you write in any way?Absolutely!
Do you use a beta?Yup, usually, because I'm incredibly insecure
What ratings do you read/write?read - all of 'em, write... generally nothing much above 15 (R) 'cause I don't do smut well.
What warnings have you used on your fiction/read?Character death, consequences of rape (but not the rape itself)
Do you have any squicks?Lots - RPF/RPS, incest, graphic rape - there's more
Do you Role-play online? If so, what?Yup. BtVS/AtS at the moment but I'm hoping to have a Firefly/Serenity one started up soon
Have you ever stolen something from another person's work?Absolutely not. I have been inspired by others writing, but plagiarising? It's a huge no-no.
Favorite fandom to write/read?At the moment BtVS although SW:EU and Firefly/Serenity are coming up close behind!
Favorite pairing?Faith/Xander. Go on, pretend you're shocked!
Favorite writer/writers?Too many to list and I know I'd forget someone I'd be kicking my self for.
How long should a chapter be?Long enough to get the job done. If you/I can tell what needs to be told in 500 words then that's fine, if it takes 5,000 then that's okay too.
Do you write/read drabbles?yup - drabbles (true 100 words, no more, no less) are hard to write - I enjoy the challenge
Any fandoms you avoid?LoTR - too much RPF/RPS seems to be working its way into the mainstream there
Pairings you avoid?Incest pairings - River/Simon on Firefly for example - and Spuffy.
Warnings you avoid?Graphic rape, incest, anything that makes it seem the writer has no understanding of the characters
Do the number of reviews tell how good a story is?Nope, not at all.
What do you think of Mary Sues?Die!!!
Have you ever flamed someone?Never. Well, at least not intentionally - I've become aware over the last couple of years that sometimes my homour doesn't translate well in type and people have been insulted by misunderstanding my intentions. I'm working on avoiding that now but if anything I've ever said has been construed as a flame, I can only apologise and reassure you that was not my intention.
Have you ever been flamed?Yes.
That's it, aren't you glad?Relieved my boss didn't catch me typing this more like!

CREATE YOUR OWN! - or - GET PAID TO TAKE SURVEYS!

So my desk at work is in direct line of sight of the students when the door is open, it's also in a direct line for a draught which feels like a gale force wind blowing through. A couple of weeks ago I asked the people in charge of these things if they could fix one of those retracting hinge type things to the door so that it couldn't be left open. They did it yesterday. It now doesn't close fully and everyone's bitching about how heavy the door is - at me. Becuase it's my fault the Uni uses crap hinges.

Personally I'd rather have the door be heavy than get a problem with my neck because of the cold air.... *g*
