Serenity Squee!!!  
TWO MORE SERENITY CONVENTIONS!!!!

Sorry for those of you who are either not Firefly/Serenity fans or who are not able to go to these but...

There are going to be two more Starfury Serenity conventions! (Imaginatively called Serenity3 and Serenity4 (nice work there Sean Harry! Bet that took all of three seconds to think of!)

And despite the fact I have no money to buy petrol in the morning (seriously, my new credit card hasn't arrived yet and I need petrol, I'm going to have to buy a fiver's worth and hope the card's in the post tomorrow!) I am so going to these conventions!

Still no luck on the Millennium Falcon (thank you so much [livejournal.com profile] smhwpf! Please, don't worry about it - you're still a star!) so if anyone has any leads on one...

Oh! ETA Everyone should go buy the Nizlopi single "JCB" so that it hits number one for Christmas. This song is so damned cute!

No clue when they were announced - I was checking the Browncoats board for Flanvention reports and spotted them. The links on the Starfury site aren't working yet so I'm thinking the announcements were today (although Sean Harry's site having a glitch? Colour me stunned.)

I'm insanely bouncy about it right now!

Please keep plotting, we need to be early birds so that we can (after first having had a drink) go to those cocktail parties!*g* (Let's hope the cons are being held at the Thistle - I never thought I'd say that!)

Other news, play.usa are already shipping Serenity region 1 dvds. I'm half tempted to get an order in! (Feb's a long time away!) I think my brother will have done some sneaky downloading so that we can watch it over Christmas, so it might not be such a tough wait. (I've seen some of the Spanish version, thanks to him trying to get it for when we visited them, and that helped a little with the withdrawal, but not much.)

I'm in London on Wednesday for work so if you can give me the details of what it is you're after for your nephew I can see if FP has it.

I'm going to have to keep lurking on the Starfury boards now to find out the details!

(I have the film pre-ordered on Amazon on R1 format but I'm thinking of cancelling it and orderiing on Play so that I can have it sooner...)

(I'm running into town today to see if Glasgow's FP has it but that shop is tiny so...)

Are you on the Starfury yahoo group? Sean might post details to that first - unlikely but he might. I have a horrible feeling it's going to be a mad phone frenzy, like with Hyperion where tickets sold out after about 2 days and it was just the luck of the draw if you happened to get through.

I'll have a look out for the Millennium Falcon - is FP the best place to get it? Oh, just had a thought - big toy shop - can't remember the name of it - might have it.

I am but the messages always seemed to be delayed delivery from that. It's odd.

FP seem to have had it (Sam called me from his local one yesterday but their computer was fibbing to them) so the London one may still have it, but it's a Hasbro thing so Hambleys (if that's the shop you're thinking of?) should stock it as well.
