“Refill?”
“Huh?” Xander looked up, finding it harder to usual to focus, and eventually saw Giles holding out the bottle. “Hell yeah!” Coordination was an issue so rather than pour a new glass himself he left that to Giles.

He was going to pretend not to notice the amount of liquid that splashed onto his hand but the giggle escaped before he could stop it. “Giles? I think you may be drunk, old bean.” Even he cringed at the terrible attempt at an English accent.
“Yes, well, whilst you may have a…” Giles stopped, lost in though for a moment before continuing. “Point. That’s the word. You may have a point, but at least I am properly attired for the occasion!”
Xander looked down, taking in the carefully torn pants, the striped shirt, the garish vest and, apparently satisfied with what he saw, looked up again with a puzzled expression on his face.
“Yeah Xan, your invite must have been the only one with ‘fancy-dress’ on it.”
Xander held a hand over his heart as if he’d been mortally wounded. “Et tu, Buffy?”
An arm looped round Buffy’s and Willow smirked as she joined in. “It is a little… inappropriate don’t you think?”
He took another look around at the elegantly dressed people in the rather exclusive club. Yes, he probably did look a little out of place but what was wrong with that? With a grin he clambered up on the table (his attempt at leaping up there resulting in nothing more than a cracked shin that he knew was going to hurt like hell in the morning) and brandished the rubber sword he had stuck in his wide belt.
“Not inappropriate, fair maiden! Innapro-Pirate!”

"He was getting pretty toasted by the end there. I think Giles might have had to take him down to his office to sleep it off."
