*phew*
Right - a few things, I think I'm all caught up in replies although I still owe some people emails ([livejournal.com profile] sarakat and [livejournal.com profile] emeraldswan are at the top of my list!). For my next trick, I will get the again-delayed WKA notification emails sent out, I have new buttons and LJ icons and everything...only, yet again I can't get into my Moments Lost email from work so it'll have to be tonight. ('cause I'm fairly sure that would come under 'mis-use of library email' if I were to send them from here...)

Second. I am a very sarcastic person. I forget sometimes that this doesn't always translate very well on the internet. If I have offended you or said something that you read a personal attack into, the chances are insanely high that this was not my intention. If I have offended anyone or put your back up, I apologise.

Third - my heating is fixed! Yay! The nice man came out, took a very large spanner and hit the pipes with it. My radiators gurgled and the heating came on. All those freezing cold, sleepless nights, for a piece of dirt stuck in the pump...

And, related to that, the man is coming out to fix my Sky TV on Thursday so I'm taking the day off work. So yesterday was the gasman, tomorrow is the three/four hour break in the middle of the day for the counselling appointment, and Thursday is the Sky man. Is there any point me being in work this week?

There was more I was going to say but I've kinda forgotten what it is now. Okay, off to read a particularly interesting journal article: Ego-centrism Over E: mail: Can We Communicate As Well As We Think? (Journal of Personality and Social Psychology 89:6 (2005)) *g*

Yay! For fixed heating :o)

I might just have to pop by the office this afternoon if you're going to be off on Thursday so you can see my shiny new hair, eeeek! Although I'm going to post a pic of it in my journal momentarily......

It was such a relief this morning to not wake up and have to psyche myself up to get out of bed!

(well, other than the normal "god, do I have to go to wrok today?" psyching... *g*)

I hope your parents get their heating sorted soon!

*is puzzled*

I don't find you all that sarky. Has anyone said anything?

Recently, I got de-friended recently with no explanation and it kind of threw me. I did a lot of soul-searching to find out what it was that I had done to piss the person off. In the end, I decided to sod it and move on. I mean, your LJ is for you, right? It's not about who you need to be in order to get people to read you but rather an expression of who you really are. So you shouldn't have to worry about showing people that.

Personally, I quite like who you are, BTW :)

*hugs*

Someone who I used to be in contact with a lot read something into a comment I made. They thought I was accusing them of sabotaging a joint project when in actual fact I was trying to make it easier for the others involved to speak up. I could possibly have phrased what I said better, but this person reacted negatively to what they saw in my post.

Since he read something I didn't intend to imply, it worried me that perhaps my sarcasm and humour doesn't come across all that well. On LJ I type as I speak (unless I can't spell a word I would normally say, then I edit it... *g*) and without tone of voice it's not always obvious when I'm being light-hearted.

You are right though - I am who I am, I am flattered and grateful that so many people seem to like who I am online because this really is me (without the annoying sometimes-stammer and blushing problem!) I just worry. I'm a worrier. :)
