I may be a little late to this discussion, but... is there some way that you can use genre as the main category, but still tag the fics by pairing/characters? That seems like the best way to do it to me.

Oh, and... I dunno, I like the WKA award category names, they're cute... but I don't think it's a good idea to use them on INAP just because it seems best to keep the sites separate. But that's just me and it's your site, of course.

Inpenetrably cute. Please use sensible names.

As I said:
- I liked the pairings as categories
- I dislike WKA's names; call a spade a spade.

Now, as you said something along the lines of multiple categories. Maybe, beside a main paring, 2 or 3 categories? I don't know whether it's feasible. In the end, it's your decision.

I liked your idea of a "buddy" category. For example, I like Spike/Xander pairings if there's no sex involved because they just seem to spark so well against each other. But I'm not into Spander sex.
On the other hand, I suppose that this is taken care of already by specifying a lower rating so...
