It's going to bug the crap out of me
unless I ask. I'm having a really bad day, not going to go into details, but all I wanted to do was curl up in the one warm room in my house and watch stuff on my laptop. TV epiosdes, vids, etc. 'Cept my media player has screwed up somehow and I can't fix it so I have a question.

Do any of you use BS Player? Do you have any idea how I've managed to zoom into the image so that it's stuck at 25% of the image and I can't resize it?

I tried opening the files in WMP classic (it's an MKV file, won't open in anything else) and the stupid 25% thing was still there. I know it was fine earlier today so I must have done something when I closed it down, but for the life of me I can't work it out.

Thanks!

Best info I can find is this :

You can "free resize" the videoscreen using the following key-combinations of [Ctrl]-key together with a numeric key of the numeric key-pad:
[Ctrl]/[2] : Free resize down
[Ctrl]/[8] : Free resize up
[Ctrl]/[4] : Free resize left
[Ctrl]/[6] : Free resize right
You can move the videoscreen using the same numeric keys, but without [Ctrl]
Then there is the feature to pan-in/out (Default keys: [+]/[-] on numeric key-board).
(Key [5] of numeric keypad can be used to "reset".)

Cheers, it's on my laptop though which doesn't have a numeric keypad. I ended up upgrading to the newest version of BSPlayer and it seems to be sorted with AVI and MPEG files now, but the codec for MKV isn't being recognised. I may have to finally get around to converting those files to AVI (or hell, going out and buying the DVDs... *g*)

BS Player
Depends on your version. Generally you can right click and choose the zoom and aspect ratio.

and either shift+1 or alt+1 returns to the original ratio.

Re: BS Player
Thanks! Unfortunately none of that worked - shift+1 was altering the aspect ratio but not increasing the amount I was seeing and the zoom function was only changing the size of the player and not the image. I've upgraded to the newest version and it seems to have resolved itself for AVIs and MPEGs but now it's not recognising MKVs. Will have a look at either converting those to AVIs or re-installing the codec tonight.
