I hate my brain
Would someone be willing to sneak into my house while I'm out, hide all my CDs, cassette tapes and vinyl records, wipe the 'my music' folder on my computer and laptop? I was putting a new playlist on my MP3 player last night and had a little bit of spare space so I threw this song on even though I haven't heard it in years. So of course it's playing right now and all I can think is 'that would be good for that clip' and 'could that line be any better for that other clip?'

I do not need another project right now...

Anyone want a SPN vid bunny? Yours for the asking....

Gonna take you down
Deep To the Front line

You woke up this morning
Got yourself a gun
Mama always said you’d be
The Chosen One.

She said: You’re one in a million
You’ve got to burn to shine
But you were born under a bad sign
With a blue moon in your eyes.

You woke up this morning
All the love has gone
Your Papa never told you
About right and wrong.

But you’re looking good, baby,
I believe you’re feeling fine,(shame about it),
Born under a bad sign
With a blue moon in your eyes.

Woke up this morning
Got a blue moon in your eyes
(So sad Goddamn,Goddamn shame about it)
Woke up this morning
Got a blue moon in your eyes

You woke up this morning
The world turned upside down,
Thing’s ain’t been the same
Since the Blues walked into town.

But you’re one in a million
You’ve got that shotgun shine.
Born under a bad sign, shame about it
With a blue moon in your eyes.

Woke up this morning
Got a blue moon in your eyes
(So sad Goddamn,Goddamn shame about it)
Woke up this morning
Got a blue moon in your eyes

Just can't help your self

When you woke up this morning everything you had was
gone. By half past ten your head was going ding-dong.
Ringing like a bell from your head down to your toes,
like a voice telling you there was something you should
know. Last night you were flying but today you’re so low
- ain’t it times like these that make you wonder if
you’ll ever know the meaning of things as they appear to
the others; wives, mothers, fathers, sisters and
brothers. Don’t you wish you didn’t function, wish you
didn’t think beyond the next paycheck and the next little
drink? Well you do so make up your mind to go on, ‘cos
when you woke up this morning everything you had was gone.

Woke up this morning,
Woke you woke up this morning,
Woke you woke up this morning,
You wanna be, You wanna be the Chosen One
Yeah You know it
Just can't help yourself, yeah

Woke up this morning,
Woke up this morning,
Woke up this morning,
Got yourself a gun
Got yourself a gun
Got yourself a gun

If I were a vidder, I would certainly use this.

I realize now I never really introduced myself. I'm bad about that, and I usually don't comment, because I am teh suck. I'm Amy, you may have seen me mentioned over on [livejournal.com profile] jpublic's journal, as I'm married to the big lug. :D I hopelessly fangirl everything SPN, and still dabble in BtVS/AtS. I write a little fic now and again, ditto for beta work... I would icon and vid, except I have a crappy computer and no software AND no know-how. But that can all be remedied in time, right? Anyways, I've seen you around fandom and through friendsfriends, and you seem like a cool cat, so I friended. :)

*waves*

I have indeed seen you mentioned around - hello! I am, as you will have gathered by now, more than a little insane. :)

Vid Bunnys are horrible. Could take all the music you have and you would still get got by a radio somewhere.

"My sympathies, friend. You've no manner of luck at all."
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 10:15 am (UTC)
Can we institute a worldwide ban on music? So that no one ever gets to hear anything ever again?

That might work...
[identity profile] acme54.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 10:25 am (UTC)
I'll get started on that...
Hows the current vid going?
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 10:28 am (UTC)
Re: I'll get started on that...
very, very, very slowly. I need a day when I can just sit down with no other distractions like work... hey! It's almost the weekend!

*g*

actually, I'm planning on spending a lot of time this weekend on it 'cause the awesome [livejournal.com profile] thedothatgirl's coming up next week for the Serenity 4 con and said she'd take a look at the rough cut, so it'd be good to have nmore than 45 seconds worth to show her!

(although I have a ficathon deadline due tomorrow and thanks to my ev0l brain it wants to be restarted now...)
[identity profile] iyalode.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 09:05 am (UTC)
I fucking love that song! It's my Spander song - featuring unsouled no-chip Spike- of course. Do you have The Sopranos sundtrack? The first cd is excellent.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 10:16 am (UTC)
It really is an awesome song isn't it? And now you've mentioned it I can see how it would work with Spander too... dammit! More bunnies...

Hee!

I actually don't have that CD, I might take a look and see if I can get ahold of it though!
[identity profile] jgracio.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 11:38 am (UTC)
No Spander, bad Shona, bad! :D
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 11:41 am (UTC)
But they're just so perfect for each other...

*grin*
[identity profile] jgracio.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 11:59 am (UTC)
Oh, come on, everybody knows Xander's in love with Riley.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 12:11 pm (UTC)
OT3!!
[identity profile] jgracio.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 12:25 pm (UTC)
That... could actually make sense, if the characters were gay.

You win. :)
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 12:36 pm (UTC)
or up for a little experimentation...
[identity profile] jgracio.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 12:42 pm (UTC)
Oy, don't you have work to do? :D

Also, have you seen the new Buffy comic?
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 12:44 pm (UTC)
well right now I'm on my lunch break so... nope. Not right now. *g*

And it's a choice between teasing you and staring at a 3000 long list of titles on Excel... I think I know which one I'd rather go for! Excel here I come!

I've seen some of the preview stuff for the comic, is it actually out now?
[identity profile] jgracio.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 12:50 pm (UTC)
Shouldn't you, I dunno, have lunch on your lunch break?

Or do you guys eat at the work place? You crazy northern europeans, with your work ethics, and no time to go out to a restaurant. :D

And the comic isn't out yet, but there's a 26 page preview available on the internet. Complete with what I think is Scottish accent Slayer. :)
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 12:57 pm (UTC)
lunch? What, like actual food? Nah... that'd mean being away from the computer...

I saw there was a chance that part of it was set in Scotland. In a castle, 'cause that's all we have here. Castles and lochs.

*g*

And big manly lads who wave great big swords around while using skirts.
And lasses who die far too young to provide inspiration for the lads to go and rise up against Longshanks...

Sorry, Braveheart was on TV this weekend, got carried away, I spent the entire movie trying to figure out how it would end up being the Jews fault, the director being who it is. :D
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 01:05 pm (UTC)
Wanna know something really insane? After the film came out, there was obviously a big increase in tourism to Stirling as a result, so they opened up/revamped, whatever, the William Wallace tourist centre. And put a statue of the man outside it. The statue has Gibson's face,.

*facepalm*
[identity profile] jgracio.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 01:10 pm (UTC)
Something good came out of it then, at least for tourism. And that's great.

The statue... well, it's amusing. But considering how Lisbon has a statue of a former king of us, when the statue wasn't made for that king but for some other dude, from an entirely different country... it's the thought that counts, the statue doesn't represent the person, but the myth. :)
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 01:17 pm (UTC)
that's just... wow, that's like when they put a different wig on a waxwork model and say it's someone else or something!
[identity profile] iyalode.livejournal.com on March 10th, 2007 10:46 am (UTC)
If you give me a day or so, I'll send you link for the cd. heh.
wenchpixie: bunnies made me[personal profile] wenchpixie on March 9th, 2007 12:40 pm (UTC)
Well, you can have wodges of sympathy, but you can keep yer damn bunnies :D Mine are breeding out my ears at the moment and it's driving me a little nuts (then they also do when they've vanished, so that's a great big pile of not winning, right there).

[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 12:46 pm (UTC)
Plot bunny myxomatosis. That's what we need! Or perhaps some form of selective breeding programme...
wenchpixie: bunnies made me[personal profile] wenchpixie on March 10th, 2007 12:36 am (UTC)
yup, that'd work.... I had Sam gas some at one point, but they breed so fast...
[identity profile] thedothatgirl.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 01:22 pm (UTC)
Sopranos theme, I don't think I can vid SPN yet but for the right song who knows....

[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on March 9th, 2007 01:49 pm (UTC)
I have a million of them saying "this is a perfect SPN song!". Most of Muse's Absolution album, most of Lostprophets' Start Something album. Random other songs...
