Replying to a meme - part 2

monkey_matt wanted to know why I hadn't blogged about our awesome Calcutta Cup* victory on 8th March.

well, the fact of the matter is... I didn't see it.

I know, I'm such a bad fan...

Sorry!

But yay! We won! And it was all down to my boy Chris's mad kicking skillz! Woo and indeed hoo!

(next year, I swear, I will be watching - and the year after that I plan to be in the stands at Murrayfield with my eldest nephew and niece.)

*Calcutta Cup (for those of you who aren't rugby fans) is the annual match between Scotland and England as part of the RBS Six Nations tournament.

Also? Bidding is open!

ETA I'm coughing again today, I thought it was because Monkey was trying to kill me by speeding up the hill (I'm so unfit...) but it's nearly an hour later and I'm still phlegmy. That's an awesome word. It should be used more in everyday conversation.

Phlegmatic. Also a good word. But of Phlegmatic is to Phlegm, then surely so would dogmatic be to dog...

Only if you follow it with a number. Like the Gruntmaster 6000. It's basically a stripped down version of the Gruntmaster 9000, but it's software upgradeable.

Unfortunately it was the only game out of the five we played that we did win - but it was the big one against England so that counts double!
