Conversatyion is hard...  
See when the only people you've spoken to are six years old or younger in the past month - Conversation is difficult.

Am actually seeing real live human beings and... interacting with them for the next couple of days. Now I just need to remember how to do this talking and being interesting thing again!

Mine are entirely the remit of the ninja ducks. But she's terribly afraid of ninjas in general, so it's possible she's just in denial.

Maybe hers are caused by ninja ducks from space, which has sent her into such a deep state of fear that she's moved into a state that is the opposite of paranoid schizophrenia and is now inventing perfectly mundane and plausible excuses for her problems! Le gasp!

I don't know, perhaps you should see what treating everyone like a six-year-old will get you first. Could possibly be violence, though. It's a risky business, this socialising (let me get the right suffix) thing.
