Ouch.
I have a to do list printed out in front of me so that I don't faff about and waste time while I'm here. On that list are the following:

  • Fix spelling and syntax on WKA.

  • Upload newly coded voting and results PHP pages and test

  • Tear hair out if not working.

  • Put out appeal on LJ for PHP help or pointers twoards free polls service which don't have a zillion pop ups

So yeah, my head hurts from the fact that I've torn my hair out...

Long shot I know, but are there any PHP coders on my flist who would be willing to take a look at my coding?

*bats eyelashes*

Or, on the other hand, is there anyone who knows of a decent free polls/web survey site that's reliable and won't cause me headaches with pop ups and ad banners?

*puts on puppy dog eyes*

I have no idea exactly what you would need for something like this, so this may be entirely unhelpful, but I like SurveyMonkey. They don't have ads: "You can change the color, size, and style of any element in your survey. Upload your own logo, and save custom themes to use on all your surveys. There are never any advertisements, so your surveys will always have a clean and professional appearance."

Fantastic - that looks almost perfect!

Cheers!

I hope you find help either way.

At this stage I'm going to go with the option that Sorch gave me and sit down over the month to recode the whole thing from scratch. (At the moment I'm working with a template that a very good friend of mine coded for me three years ago and which I've altered a lot - working with someone else's coding is a bit like trying to write a chapter in the middle of someone else's fic - the styles are always going to be different no matter what you do!)
