I was right!!!!
I knew ir! I just knew it! Just watched "Hole in the World" - latest Angel ep and I was right!

Fred's evil!!! Such a great episode! Very very cool. Even though it kinda looks like they're re-hashing last year's storyline a little - the whole Cordy/Jasmine Fred/Illyaria (or whatever it's called!)

Still, I was nearly in tears a whole lot of the time whilst watching this episode. Poor Wes! Joss Whedon is an evil, evil man. What is so wrong with anyone being happy on his shows?

I was so impressed with the performances in this one, the whole character study was spot on, Gunn realising that his actions had *huge* consequences, Angel deciding to hell with the world and Spike realising that the whole thing's so much bigger than him.

And Fred, poor sweet Fred. I didn't like her when she first appeared but somehow she got under my skin and I'm really attached to her now. Typical really, I start to like a character and they die...

Wesley. Someone for the love of God give Alexis Denisof an award for that performance!

Eve makes a reappearance and I finally realise why she was cast in that role, I almost take back what I've been saying about her now because she just looked so forlorn there! And when she sang? It was only two lines and it wasn't the right melody but it was the song Lindsey sang in Dead End

She's pretty as a picture,
She is like a golden ring,
Circles me with love and laughter,
And I can't feel a thing

The sky's gonna open,
People gonna pray and crawl,
It's gonna rain down fire,
It's gonna burn us all

I get the feeling Lindsey's coming back! Yay!

Can't say much more right now, I want to process it in my head a little more and probably watch it again.

Made a wallpaper though! http://www.geocities.com/stackspix - s'called "My Boys..."

I walk with heroes. Think about that.

She can't be. I don't believe you. I think I'm going to go into serious denial about this.

See? That's what happens when you read spoilers! Bad Andy!

I'm choosing to operate under the belief that Lindsey had dumped Eve. Although your little revelation about her know Lindsey's song, kinda put's a damper on the whole theory I had running. If he spent the time to teach her a song, then he probably cared. Gag.

Oh well, as long as he comes back, and he's not dead.

There was *Zero* chemistry between Eve and Lindsey so I'm still operating under the impression that he was just using her to get access to W&H.

I adore that song, there's actually a fansite somewhere which has a fan-video someone's made using that as the background music - it's clips (mostly from Dead End) of Lindsey and it's very cool....

Anyway, back to what I was saying, if he loved the song as much as I do, maybe he was singing it around the apartment and she picked up on it - that would explain why she got the melody a little wrong and only managed a couple of lines.

But Ditto that 'as long as he comes back' hope!

I replied to this a second ago, so if you get your comments sent to your email or something, it'll show up more than once. I wanted to say that I love your new wallpaper. I'm seriously thinking about replacing the one I have already on my computer. Which is all in white and pink because dark colors have been wreaking havoc with my eyes recently, so thats why I haven't slapped it up yet.

You sent me towards that video once. I watched it obsessively. I to am just hoping he was only using her for acess to Wolfram and Hart.

But the whole story line was so convaluted, at least off the way Lindsey was when he left the show, that even though I'm happy to see him back, I'm having a hard time seeing his motives behind anything, least of all his bad choice in girlfriend.

I do like your thoery on how Eve knows the song. ::Ha ha:: -evil laugh at Eve's expense-

I agree with that - the way he left back in season two (was it *really* that long ago?!) hinted that he's be on the path to being good now and to have him tuen round and apparently be evil like this? I'm still holding out hope that he's not evil at all adn he's actually acting under the influence of TPTB to try and wake Angel up to himself a little and it ended up just being a bit of personal peeve that drove him to try to kill Angel. But then again, if Cordy didn't wake up then did any of the things we saw in You're Welcome really happen?

My brain hurts!

And I'm glad you like the wallpaper, I'm probably going to do another one - got some good pics of blue-skinned Fred so I might do something with them!

Does sound like Lindsey's not gone for ever, which is definitely a good... but about his good/evil status, I'm not convinced he was ever really on the path to good - just thoroughly pissed off with W&H-style evil, with being played with. Maybe he finally decided what W&H were doing was just too much for him to stomach, but that doesn't mean he was about to become a white knight. My guess is that he is following his own agenda, whatever that is, that probably doesn't mean hugs and puppies, but probably doesn't mean major apocalyptic evil either, but certainly does mean getting back at both Angel and W&H. But we must wait and see!

Good question as to whether the evnts of You're Welcome happened, but the fact that Eve had been exposed and Lindsey snapped up by the SPs in this episode suggests they did... what are the theories about Cordy? Are there any doing the rounds? I'm sort of guessing she was doing some sort of astral projection, so her real body was still in her bed, but she was able to project herself, even corporeally, to be with Angel & Co. The first call from the hospital when she 'woke up' - was it form hospital staff or Cordy herself? I'll have to watch again and check.

(Fred can't be dead! Fred can't be dead!)

Second Andy's NOOOOOOOOOOO!
Just seen the episode - I was very good and didn't click on your lj-cut until I had!

Surely they'll find a way of getting Fred back! They can't have the same thing happening twice! Joss is playing with us! He's evil, but he can't be that evil can he? Err... silly question.

It was a fantastic ep., and great performances from both AA and AD, as well as some really interesting stuff with Gunn, and some great nods to the Spangel shippers! What's more, I think they've really got back the old snap, crackle and pop of the dialogue, the plot, the whole feel of it. Typical, just when it's getting really good, the bastards cancel it.

Re: Second Andy's NOOOOOOOOOOO!
OMG you should see the Spangel shippers hitting the fanart forums on Buffyworld! So funny! BW is getting notorious for being *very* Spuffy biased and the reactions people have been having to the "Just hold my hand" based art? Absoultely hilarious to a non-Spuffy shipper like me!

As to bringing her back? Once upon a time Joss Whedon was one of the most original writers out there but recently he's been getting more predictable. I'm holding out hope that there may be more to it but I'm just going to sit back now and watch the show without having it up on the pedestal it once was.

As for Lindsey - I don't think he was exactly good when he left in Dead End, but I do think he'd made a concious decision not to be evil and that's gotta say something for him.
