1 - I finally have it in writing that my landlord has committed to 'carry out appropriate repairs in a reasonable time' with regards fixing my (still) leaking roof.

2 - Spoke to the boss of the letting agency and he's negotiated a £75 reduction of my rent until this is all fixed.

3 - I went to my ATOS appeal yesterday.

4 - I... WON MY ATOS APPEAL YESTERDAY.

5 - I don't have to be reassessed by ATOS for another two years.

6 - I get a badfalcon next week.

7 - I get to go Nessie hunting with Cassie (and possibly Raintown) next week!

So basically? Things are looking pretty good today.

Of course the perfect flat fell through, and the only thing on the market right now in my price range is the one with the dealer up the stairs (he's not the problem, his customers are...) so I'm stuck in the hellhole for a little longer, but it can only be a matter of time, right?

Having a really crap week so far. None of my graphics are working out and no matter how much I pack, my house is constantly full of *stuff* - I have a proper moving in date now, 15th December. So I'll definitlely be in by Christmas, but right now I might just end up hiring a skip and chucking all of my stuff in it.

Plus, sis has arranged for a mate of hers to come clear the garden at the house (for money) and he showed up yesterday. Apparently she's told him not to bother me and if there's any problems to contact her. She's done that so I don't have to deal with a complete stranger in my face which is good of her but... I get the feeling he might think I'm some kind of anti-social psycho killer, and also I spent all day yesterday and most of this morning hiding in my own house.

Sigh.

Question - which I hope there's a yes answer to - are there any new season 5 promo shots of the boys from SPN? I can only find the one Misha one anywhere, and while it's great, it's not that helpful when I'm making Sam and Dean centric banners for the S&B Awards.

Or, you know what would be good (and happy-making)? If you could all spam me here with your favourite pics of the boys. I'd rather they were Sam and Dean rather than Jared and Jensen, but I can work with anything.

I've not been online much at all since the weekend, and not for the reasons I wanted that to be. I haven't moved yet, there's nothing wrong with the flat (apart from Scottish Gas taking a stupid amount of time to activate my account there and the central heating being gas fired...). There's something wrong with me. I've been (as I put it rather crudely in a text earlier today) unable to get too far from a bucket or a bathroom in the last five days. The kids (whom I really have to come up with some kind of naming function for now that they all have distinct personalities... hmmm. I'll think on that some) all had/have it, sis had it, BiL had it. I can't get rid of it.

(and just FYI sis, when your kid sister calls you sounding really low and asks for advice, telling her to 'suck it up and fight through it' isn't exactly what she needed to hear. I was kinda hoping for some sympathy, not a drill sergeant...)

I'm about to venture into my flist, but I can tell you already I'm over a week behind and have limited time here (57 steps from the single public bathroom in the library - hope it's close enough if it comes to it!) If there's something - no matter how important or insignificant - you want me to see, please let me know or link me?

(and finally another little moan from me, yet another part of my computer has decided it's too old to work properly. My CD/DVD drive is packing up. And of course the three files that refuse to open/transfer/copy from the latest disk are SPN episodes... I'm going to try to get them onto my pendrive at sis's house (the library computer doesn't even recognise there's a disk in when I try it here) so I can watch 'em. *grumble*)

I paid the deposit and the first month's rent this morning - in cash. And man I've never carried that amount of cash around before, it was kinda daunting.

So I'm busy packing right now, meaning that NaNo's kinda taken a back-foot and is unlikely to be done this year. I'm still gonna write it, 'cause I'm loving the story but it'll probably not be 50,000 by the end of the month.

Also? I want to have a house-warming, and everyone on my flist is invited.
