Site hacked. Again.
INAP seems to be okay for the moment but my web host has just ever so politely informed me that one of my sites is now host to a malicious tracker code. I didn't put it there, I've checked every piece of coding on every single part of the site(s) and I know it's as safe as I can make it.

OneAndOne can bite me.

Once I calm down a little I'll be taking a back up copy of all the sites and cancelling my contract with them. I will be moving the sites to a new host so INAP (and the others) will be back, in fact hopefully you won't even notice the changeover.

Sorry about the language but I'm fucking furious right now.

Damn it!

Who the heck is hacking a Xander-centric fanfic site? And what the f@#$ is the point? This is all Spike's fault, I tell you! I can see I'm going to have to have something suitably awful happen to him in Roman Holiday to ease my anger. *nods*

Ah but see I'm liking your version of Spike - back to his snarky best. Yeah I know, it's kinda surprising but I do actually like Spike. It's William I hated. *g*

I know wha tyou mean though, it just makes zero sense to me for someone to target a site which isn't going to make them any money, it's not going to get them anything other than my undying hatred.

Maybe they get off on the fact that I'm actively hating them right now.

*sigh*

fingers crossed! The bunch of wasters I'm with at the moment wouldn't know a secure server if it jumped up and bit them I don't think.

And making this back-up looks like it's going to take me all night. Joy.

Stupid hackers, I hope you get it sorted out, Sho. One of the guys at work has just set up his own webhosting site, it's called Weblimits.

Hopefully changing hosts will make the difference - I've been recommended a good one by a friend whose opinion I trust (on computer related things anyway... *g*) so as soon as I have the back-up completed I'm shifting. Course making the back up seems destined to take forever right now...

That sucks!

Thanks Gabrielle - I just don't get the mentality of whoever's doing it. Makes me wonder why I have any faith in human nature at all sometimes.

I think it's absolutely HORRIBLE that this is happening to you! Why are these people victimizing you? I certainly hope that everything can be remedied somehow to keep these hackers at bay!

Jeez - you'd think the hackers had something against Mr Harris... only thing I can think it's a cyber-vengeance-demon thing... (I almost typed thong there - coulda been interesting).

Hope that changing hosts works for you, chick.

*hugs*

Hope the new host works out for you Sho, this current one doesn't seem to have a clue.

They seem to be a shower of idiots really. I'm going with a host which a friend uses and has always found helpful when/if she had a problem. The price for what I want is a little bit higher but I actually get more of what I want in that package so it'll be worth it in the longrun.

My only problem now is that the domain name - moments-lost.co.uk as well as misscommunications.co.uk and the other I have (band site, still not ready for launching) are all registered with the shower of idiots so I still have to do business with them for a while anyway.
