Y'know, it turns out that crying in front of a stranger (albeit a qualified psychologist), driving in really bright sunlight, circling carparks looking for a space and then coming into an office with insanely bad lighting can give you a headache. Whoddathunkit?

Session went... well, I think. Norman and I agreed that I need help, we disagreed on what kind of help. He thinks sleeping tablets will help, I don't - been there, tried it, suffered the side effects. We'll see.

So now I'm insanely headachey and really tired to boot. Two people other than me have pumpkins carved, one person other than me has got a costume with them but decided not to put it on because no one else had bothered. And crabbit faced "I don't believe in Hallowe'en" is somehow on the same breaks as me. Wonderful.

*hugs* - hope you manage to feel better soon.. and have fun with the Halloween ness...

On the "I don't believe in Halloween" woman.. I'm not sure I get it... I mean... Halloween is the common name for All Hallows Eve... so doesn't she think October 31st exists at all...? 'Cause that's the only day that I can think of that usually comes directly before November 1st...

Hope Norman can help. :)

And about crabbit face, does anyone still believe in Hallowe'en in whatever traditional sense it used to have?

I really don't know much about it, it's not a national thing at all, but we do have All Saints Day on the first of November. People used to go to the graveyard to arrange their relatives graveyards, pretty them up with flowers really. And little kids used to go around asking people for stuff, so there's some resemblance.

But nobody dresses like a Pirate for that. :)

Get well!

*Hugs*

As for Halloween... Bah! Humbug! (does that expression work in context? *is unsure*)

It's a nice idea, sure enough. But the road I live in doesn't really allow you not to participate. With no lights in the windows lest you attract hoards of ravenous rug-rats, no TV so as not to make any noise, or any music or, well, anything at all really, I guarantee you feel like a prisoner in your own home. And even then, someone rang on the doorbell last year! Talk about an imposition.

It's not that I begrudge the little kids their fun, I really don't. But when they turn up on your doorstep all wide-eyed and fearful of talking to strange adults like that with their parents in the background egging them on with a gruesome smile on their faces, you've got to wonder who this holiday is really for? The kids, who might get as much of a kick out of a little party with all their friends as anything, or the parents who get to play dress-up and show off their offspring, regardless of said offspring's opinion in the matter.

*scowls at no-fun Halloween*
