Not even six am and I've been up for an hour already. Yes I get up this early normally but lately I've been thinking "Why?!" more and more. So sleepy and I have a packed day ahead of me - this is not going to be fun.

I'll be intrigued to see what the reaction is when I leave at 4 this afternoon, I asked yesterday and got the okay even though I'm the only serials supervisor in. There were two DDS supervisors so that should have been fine. Except about three hours after I asked, one of the DDS supervisors announced he was taking the day off. We already have staffing issues within the department, the Grade 2s can't go below a minimum staffing level so it is a bit hypocritical of the grade 3s and above to do that. And because I'm leaving early I'm going to look like the bad guy in all of this even though I asked first.

Well screw it. I asked, I got the okay, the fact that C also apparently got the okay is not my problem. (And there's no way he should have got the day off anyway...)

God I hate that place.
