man... I never realised just how uncomfortable this damn office chair was until right now. Back at work, dreading the conversation with the boss about my absence on Friday, have a pile of stuff that needs done and I really can't be bothered with any of it. Painkillers are fun....

Sweet Charity is over - thank you to all of you who had a mini-bidding war over me! Sorry if you didn't get what you wanted, but [livejournal.com profile] thedothatgirl, [livejournal.com profile] wenchpixie and [livejournal.com profile] amy_star_ - I'd love to work with you guys if you're still interested!

Right, I'm off before my boss arrives and I get the semi-sympathetic, semi-arrogant-bitch look from her.

You have a cracked rib - how can your work complain?!?! How about you start the conversation with, 'oh look at my x-ray, isn't it pretty?', then they will be too embarrassed to make any unacceptable comments. And make sure the allies you have there lay it on thick with the 'how are yous' in your boss's hearing. (Monkey Matt, I know I don't know you, but I don't suppose you could make Sho a cup of tea and offer her some biccies in a solicitous fashion? Cheers:))

Hope you feel better soon Sho and look after yourself.

:)

She was surprisingly okay actually. Made a comment about costs of a training course thing, but other than that it was all "Well, you don't have to do anything physical here so you should be fine". Which, come to think of it, is actually a little bitchy.

Monkey just made me tea. But no biscuits. He's a bad monkey.

Bad Monkey indeed. How cheeky.

And you were telling me how domesticated you were as well.

No ginger nuts or anything. I'm disappointed. :p

Dude! Meant to say - I totally know "I'm a Train", soon as I saw you mention it on the email I thought "huh, that sounds familiar". I haven't listened to the rest of it yet so I haven't formed an opinion on the similarity to Steve but trust me, I've been listening to Steve since last Tuesday when I got the new CD so if there's a similarity there I'll hear it!

(still have no Steve icon, dammit!)

The tea kind of happens by itself. Caffeine slaves require to be topped up fairly regularly. Especially in these soporifically beige surroundings...

Biccies, though. Tricky, 'cos of having to offer them to horrid people who don't deserve delicious treats. So perhaps not biccies. Maybe. Maybe sekrit biccies. Mmm. Sekrit biccies...

Surruptitious Sekrit Bikkies.

:)

Which horrid people would they be, by the way? Since there's a shortage of horrid people in the department. Oh, wait, sorry, that sentence is missing a 'no' in there...

Sweets, you've to do bugger all until you're all healed *hugs, gently, and nowhere near ribs*, but danke for your offer. Your graphics are so much prettier than anything I can make.

Now, serruptitious biccies sound the way to go. Hob nobs are particularly ninja-esque.

Now I have an image of Hob Nobs wrapped up in black silk sneaking through the office... *g*

I am sorry your chair is so uncomfortable. Yay for a bidding war!

here was me worried that no one would bid for me at all and I ended up making eighteen quid for the charity!

I may just have to take you up on that some time. ;)

Take care of yourself!

Just let me know - I'm more than happy to have a go at something for you!
