Brain? Stop it!
Niece is out of hospital as of yesterday - she's still teeny but she's put on some weight and is no longer jaundiced so that's got to be good.

I'm... not able to concentrate on any one thing right now (hence my failure to send back [livejournal.com profile] smhwpf's betas, I think they deserve my full attention Sam and I haven't been able to give them that over the last few days) I did manage to make animated icons over the weekend, mostly because although it's fun, it's also very time consuming and slightly mundane so it helped to keep my mind on one thing at a time. They're all from the SPN finale and are posted over at [livejournal.com profile] fandomsbitca.

And, mostly thanks to [livejournal.com profile] x5vale and [livejournal.com profile] iyalode I'm getting into the Dark Angel thing. To the extent that a song I had earmarked for a potential future Xander/Buffy vid has now taken on deep Max/Alec overtones. *shakes head* (vid bunny free to a good home...)

Today I shall be mostly taking a half day so that I can get myself caught up with things at home. Yes, it was a bank holiday weekend but I've been babysitting for most of it so my sink is full of dishes and my laundry basket is a little full... and that's before even getting into the missing meta essay, the missing betas, the missing stories for [livejournal.com profile] fic_variations (why is one of them insisting on being porny? Why dammit?), the missing graphics, the missing new site, the missing Sunday reports from Asylum...

Why do I always take on more things when I'm already working at maximum capacity?

Let's say that the only thing which saved S2 was Alec...the script was much better in S1, but Da could have been a great show if it had had the chance.

Oh yeah, and don't even get me started on that Hallowe'en spoof-type episode they did - that was just... enough to make me doubt I'd make it to the end of the DVDs to be honest (and hey, no Alec in that episode, so you're completely right!)

It could have been so great, but especially after when Jensen said at Asylum about how work out Jessica was by the time he started on the show, it's probably as well it ended where it did. Although it's now driving me nuts wondering where it was all going to head next!

I hated that episode, plus no Jensen in it!

Jensen didn't even say everything, I did really appreciate how he handled that question. He's such a lovely, polite, respectful guy.
