*looks around furtively*
Dude, Saturday morning and I've been up for four hours already. Okay, so I didn't actually get to sleep 'till about 3 this morning, but as they say "Sleepiness is weakness of character". Thank you Wash.

Emails are now all sent - yay! And yes, I screwed up and put the wrong damn URL in some of the WKA notifications - sorry about that if you're one of those who got both that and the "I'm an idiot" email that followed it ten minutes later. *shakes head* I am an idiot sometimes!

Right, done and dusted. I need to wait for replies from two one authors who have has two fics in a single category and then voting can be set up to start on Monday the 8th for the WKA. Yay!

Judging is more or less sorted on the S&B Awards, although I have to spend the rest of my time online here downloading fics to my pen drive so that I can judge them (I'm covering all categories but focusing on the longer ones - didn't think it was fair to take advantage of the generosity of my fellow judges too badly) And I also need to decide on criteria for judging authors. That one's not so easy - quantity over quality? nah, of course not, but on the other hand... too many thoughts. Brain hurty.

Right, now I'm off to upload some more things to Fandom's Bitch (most of my fic is up there now - except some of the longer WIPs (Crimson Regret, WaDaDM) - I have over 100 fics. I didn't know I'd written that much. Dude!) and then start downloading fics to judge.

Yay!

Sooooo, I'm judging the short and unfinished categories, right?

Because yes, it would have made sense for me to reply to all the judges as well....

Cranium? meet furniture...

Yes please!

Awwww, it's all good. We know things are a bit scattered.

Thanks! I'm checking out the judging guidelines now.

Hee! If there's anything I've missed out or needs clarified in the guidelines, let me know?

Thank you so much!

Do you want us all pitching in on the author/new author categories?

I know, I'm just full of questions.

*reads guidelines to the NC17 judging. Snorts*

I so wouldn't be able to judge that. Every single story would get marked down for this: If you're dragged out of the story to think about the logistics. . . .

I'm the worst porn reader ever.

I was giving myself until today to finalise what I wanted to do with the author categories. I think your suggestion is actually the best option right now. I'll come up with some criteria/guidelines for that and email everyone on Monday!

I'm exactly the same with NC17 - the number of times I've read a story and winced because of the... improbabilities shall we say?

it's funny, my one and only NC-17 story in this genre (nearly the only one ever, but I still count the V-Word for its lead up to off screen sex) breaks your rules for S&B archiving.

'Cause, you know, it's me, so there's gotta be some sort of dark, bizarre twist to the sexin'. . . . ;D

My other issue with NC17 is getting dragged out just by the wording. Good lord the euphemisms! I just start giggling every time.

Well, dark, bizarre and twisted are all the words that come to mind when thinking of you...

*g*

And in slash? The pronoun thing? Makes me laugh every single time. (Even when I'm writing it...!)

Yep. It's a tough one to dodge around. You shoulda seen me back when I was RPing pr0n on a fairly regular basis. I'd spend half my time facepalming at the computer and trying to figure out graceful ways to ftb without just going "dude, I can't take you seriously, go away".

Of course, this resulted in me being the accidental cause of a fellow RPer's COMPLETE MELTDOWN into irrationality. . . .

Which is why I don't RP sex scenes, any more.

Wow! You have accomplished much!
