If I die...
Okay, so there's a lot of building work going on in the floor above my office in the library. They seem to be dropping a lot of very heavy things directly above my head so...

If I die, I want to be cremated.

[livejournal.com profile] wenchpixie, [livejournal.com profile] acrazywench and [livejournal.com profile] thedothatgirl get first dibs on my DVDs so long as they promise to give [livejournal.com profile] hopeless_cynic one of my copies of Firefly and Serenity, [livejournal.com profile] smileawhile gets first dibs on my CDs and everyone else can fight over the rest of my belongings... The sites are hosted for the next 18 months, this LJ's a permanent account so... (Ooo - [livejournal.com profile] emorpheus can take the Sandman books he doesn't have yet and any of the Star Wars graphic novels and books he wants, the technical books and the encyclopaedia are for my nephew though!)

*grins*

(work sucks, but I refuse to let it get to me the way it has in the past couple of days. It's a job, it's not who I am. Those of you who have me friended on Facebook - my 'what I'm doing' is a tad melodramatic.)

Email from the boss I want to hit. Badly: "I'm finishing at 4.30 today."
Email from [livejournal.com profile] monkey_matt to me and [livejournal.com profile] fanulla: "Yay! I'll get the balloons, you two can hire the clowns and make jelly."
other email from me to [livejournal.com profile] monkey_matt at the exact same time: "a graphologist would have a field day with my hand writing...it's all looped together fairly tightly apart from the glaring exceptions where there's gaps. Look at my 'g' at the end of 'leaving' ...I'M SCHIZOPHRENIC! CLEARLY!!!!"
[livejournal.com profile] monkey_matt: Okay, so maybe clowns aren't such a good idea.
[livejournal.com profile] mara_sho: clowns or midgets? Or midget clowns?!
[livejournal.com profile] monkey_matt: Midget clowns with BIG KNIVES!!!! AAARGH!!! RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!
[livejournal.com profile] mara_sho: It's okay though, 'cause all we have to do is stop and punch 'em in the face. I know, 'cause the TV told me.
[livejournal.com profile] monkey_matt: But the BIG KNIVES!!! What about the BIG KNIVES!!!
[livejournal.com profile] mara_sho: the midget clowns are midgets, the knifes are too big for them to handle. *nods*
[livejournal.com profile] monkey_matt: Phew. I was worried there.

And all this whilst we're meant to be working... (and [livejournal.com profile] fanulla is apparently not partaking in the conversation... *g*)

I'm taking my cloak! Or possibly my sheet of material, depending on how finished it is when you die. Uh... I mean, if you die.

*snorts*

The reason that's so funny right now, is that I actually have all my costume making stuff with me today 'cause I'm heading to Wench's tonight to start making things. So if the library falls down you might not get it without digging through the rubble...
[identity profile] unhobbityhobbit.livejournal.com on February 22nd, 2008 10:21 am (UTC)
You mean I might have to pry it out of your cold, dead hands? Ick.

Yes, yes I did type "dean" rather than "dead" originally.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on February 22nd, 2008 10:24 am (UTC)
Yes, you will have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands. Or my dean hands if you so prefer...
[identity profile] unhobbityhobbit.livejournal.com on February 22nd, 2008 10:27 am (UTC)
You actually have a pair of dean hands? I'm so jealous.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on February 22nd, 2008 10:30 am (UTC)
yes, they're attached to the rest of Dean, I keep him in my loft and let him out to have fun now and then.

Sammy comes round to visit occaisionally, but not too often because that would let the demons know where Dean is.

It's all part of our masterplan to beat the deal.

*nods*

Damn... wait... this is a public post isn't it? THEY'LL KNOW!!!!
[identity profile] unhobbityhobbit.livejournal.com on February 22nd, 2008 10:33 am (UTC)
If Dean dies now it's ALL YOUR FAULT!

And damn, you set up that whole plan since yesterday? They stopped stealthing eventually then.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on February 22nd, 2008 10:36 am (UTC)
They're good at making plans, and Sam geeked out when he realised the library was this entire 13 story building. He's happy.

Dean isn't going to die.

*shakes head*

He just isn't.

*stamps foot*

And he's not going to fall on pie either...

[identity profile] unhobbityhobbit.livejournal.com on February 22nd, 2008 10:40 am (UTC)
So you've got Dean safe and Sam in a state of geeky Nirvana? You're good at this!

Just... make sure no coworkers think the floor is a good place to store pie. I don't think Sam could take that.

Also, I'm playing solitaire and the screen happened to be positioned so I could periodically see Dean's little fist punching above the solitaire window. It amused me.

I am, and just think, they could have saved themselves all that angst if they'd just met me earlier...

I will. I'll send round an email to all the library staff telling them that pie is not an appropriate item to leave on the floor or on any surface on which one could fall.

*nods*

*edits* Dean approves of Solitaire, clearly!

Well, they've found you now, so I'm sure they've saved themselves a lot of angst that was lined up for them in the future.

Possibly put pie warning signs up say, around the fridge or anywhere pies are likely to be. Or rig up some speaker system "Beware! You are now entering the Pie Zone!" Like the Twilight Zone, but both angstier and tastier.

It's probably more procrastination Dean approves of. Though, if I play Hearts, then it's him, Sam and John I play against and Sam sucks monumentally. Is it still procrastination when you have nothing better to do?
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on February 22nd, 2008 10:54 am (UTC)
The Pie Zone...

*grins*

I think you might be right there, procrastination is of course the ideal time-waster and Dean would definitely approve of that. Sam sucks at hearts because he doesn't want to have his broken again, clearly.

The only potential angst there might be (for Dean at least) is that the ever-so-charming neds in my village have a habit of letting tyres down and walking across bonnets of parked cars. Still, could be fun to see Dean's reaction to that...

*hugs* Don't think heavy things. Think Dean and Sam are battling something nasty and will soon be down to see you for a cup of coffee. (At which point I will scream with jealousy)

Are you still waiting to watch the eppy?
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on February 22nd, 2008 11:39 am (UTC)
Now that's a scenario I can definitely get on board with!

Twenty minutes 'till I can watch it. *chews fingernails*

That's it, I'm sending in Bagpuss. Then he can go to sleep and all the mice dropping things on your roof will go to sleep.

Unless they drop something non-fatally through your roof and connect you with daylight.
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on February 22nd, 2008 12:47 pm (UTC)
But if Bagpuss goes to sleep the world ends...

Did we say 6 tonight? I forget.
wenchpixie: hell yeah dean[personal profile] wenchpixie on February 22nd, 2008 01:15 pm (UTC)
What show were you watching?!?

Yep, the 6.07 :D, as long as the trains are fixed....
[identity profile] whiskyinmind.livejournal.com on February 22nd, 2008 01:18 pm (UTC)
It was the show about the little kid who was a drug dealer and used a shop that she 'owned' as a cover for her nefarious drug dealing lifestyle. Right?

*g*

Awesome - your trains were buggered as well then? Mine was cancelled and the second one was 20 minutes late by the time it got into Glasgow... joy. (I have no laptop or wallet btw, because I am a spanner and forgot them both. I *do* have wads of material including about 2 yards of black crushed velvet that I have no idea when I bought or what for...)
wenchpixie: Bobby Grr Face[personal profile] wenchpixie on February 22nd, 2008 01:50 pm (UTC)
That's the one...

Yup, totally, I had to go down to gilmour st and wait. And wait. Then wait more.

They were still arsed at lunch time, too...

Clowns are ALWAYS evil and scary, even very small ones.

[livejournal.com profile] fanulla gazumped the both of us with a comment to the effect that she was leaving at quarter to three and thus didn't care especially that evil bosslady was leaving early. *tut* Part-timers...

Although I can't imagine she'd be particularly fond of midget clowns with BIG KNIVES either.

ooh thanks for the offer of DVD's - but I'd rather have you around instead - that's if the Midget clowns don't find a way to wield those BIG KNIVES!!
