Or else people to kick my arse and tell me to stop procrastinating.

Really struggling with the WKA banners right now, I've always tried to make these as personalised as possible as possible but this round I'm just struggling.

Not because of any lack of interest, mostly because I suck.

Seriously, if anyone graphically-inclined is willing to lend a hand, my inner control freak could be stamped on long enough...

Also? Apparently I've already hit my "fair usage" limit on my phone's internet access. I need to cancel it. It's so not worth it.

(and, in case you're interested, the song the 'radio in my head is playing' *almost* made it onto the Dean/Castiel mix I posted last month. Luckily [livejournal.com profile] thedothatgirl's common sense overruled my impulses. (not that it's not a good song, 'cause it is, but it really didn't fit these two, apart from the fact that Misha has the most amazingly clear eyes...))

Also? I have a deadline for [livejournal.com profile] whedon20in20 for tomorrow. I don't think I'll be making that deadline.

I SUCK!!!!!

Seriously, I have two SC fics to finish - when I say finish, I mean actually do more than assign sections in a notepad to them and scribble notes and various snippets of dialogue and you know, maybe write them!. I also have all of my many, many, many works in progress to tackle, as well as the (now kinda late) Dark Angel 'pulse' tribute tale I was planning (shoulda been posted at the start of this month, has barely been thought of since March). And then there's all these graphics I need to do, and the follow up to 'Shelter' that I'm now committed to (plus I really want to finish both Crimson Regret and WaDaDM now). So what did I do this morning?

Snoozed most of the morning away, watched the F1 qualifying for a while, wandered around the village for a bit and then ended up here in the library.

Yeah, that's gonna get the writing done!

Ooo! I know - I could post the ficlet [livejournal.com profile] r_becca beta'd for me ages ago. *checks pen drive* yay! It's there! 'kay... that'll be the third fic I've posted this week then. Dude, I'm on a roll here!

(side note, guy behind me just fell off his chair, he's fine, nothing but bruised pride, but I twisted to see what the hell happened and now *my* back is hurting. Shame Injury Lawyers 4 U don't have a remit in Scotland innit?)

I'm bored. I have a million and one things to do - not least the Sweet Charity work (Bella - you have become the latest victim of my psychic email issue. I read emails, I answer them in my head and then forget that I haven't actually physically sent an answer... [livejournal.com profile] thedothatgirl is the most common victim of my psychic emails, ask her how frustrating it gets!)

I also have to sell my house, which means I have to clean the entire thing, get my things packed away, and paint the living room walls.

What am I doing instead? Well I'm sitting in the library wondering how long I can justify being here and whether I can get any of the YouTube links from A3 to work on a public computer... Probably not.

Oh, also? I have a new plan for what to do with the Salt & Burn site asides from the fic archive and the awards. Unfortunately that plan is going to involve a far greater understanding of databases than I currently have. (Which, let's face it, wouldn't be hard 'cause I don't understand them at all right now!) So I'm sitting here with my rucksack full of PHP & MySQL info books and trying to understand floating arrays. So much fun.

So, I have signed up for two days in [livejournal.com profile] spring_of_cordy and am really looking forward to them, problem is, one of the days is this month - 21st - and I have very little idea of what I will be doing so...

prompting people please?

Cordy-centric.

I should point out that I've been doing a re-watch of Angel lately, so that's what's freshest in my mind, but am happy to rewatch anything else!

So I have sooper dooper batteries for my camera and I wanna use them! So... flist, here's your chance! Tell me what to take photos of and I'll post them here. Not taking pictures that could be considered obscene, also not taking pictures of the nieces and nephews 'cause my Sister asked me when the eldest was born not to let pics of them online.

Other than that? Fair game. Wanna know what my house looks like? Whether there really are Bengal tigers hiding in my jungle of a garden? What the library looks like? What my favourite pair of shoes is? Ask and I'll show you!

(Of course, now I have to get over the issue of my computer apparently having lost the camera upload software, but hey - details details!)

Also? I haven't forgotten any of the other memes and things I have to do - I'm contemplating. (not procrastinating - who said that?!)

(edited to add a fic rec, copied from my reply to the reccs post at [livejournal.com profile] spnfencentral:)

Title: Words Like Violence
Creator: [livejournal.com profile] bellatemple
Medium: Fic
Rating, Genre, warnings: Teen, AU
Link: http://bellatemple.livejournal.com/233525.html
Summary: Jess thought, when she met Sam, that the two of them would grow up, get married, have kids, and have a life. Then she met Dean, and everything spiraled away.

this fic is hopefully the start of a whole new AU 'verse from Bella focusing on the boys having grown up together after the death of their father in the fire... It's an astounding start with a wonderful character twist in Dean especially. Go, read!

I have another odd request.

Song lyrics. Non-angsty, non-cheesy song lyrics about a relationship.

Help?

(Also, my laptop was being sulky last night so the icons people have asked for are still waiting to be made - I'm not ignoring them!)

And I just realised, I don't have a copy of Jason Manns' UK Live EP from last year. I didn't get to the gigs because of lack of funds and leave days at work and he'd sold out at Asylum. I've heard it, but I wants it! *pouts*

I'm bored.

Someone tell me it's okay to write not-quite-porn at my desk at work? 'Cause right now that's about all I can actually do given that the delegation in this place means I'm waiting for answers from three different people who are all in a meeting right now to find out how to answer the questions I need answered.

*sigh*

It's only ten past ten (or so) and I've only just arrived at work (managed to make it for the 10am flexi cut off) because I woke up as the snow started at around 4am, couldn't get back to sleep because - hey, snow! (yes, I am the reincarnation of Lorelai Gilmore) - and then managed to snooze right through my alarm.

Got up late, checked the trains, phoned work to let them know I'd be starting late, went to make some porridge and discovered I had no milk left. I also had no bread products that weren't frozen, so I went without breakfast. Grabbed my stuff, used the little dribble of milk I had left to make myself a cup of tea in my thermal mug to drink on the train and headed out to get said train.

Despite the forecasts, the snow apparently took the village council by surprise and the pavements weren't gritted. So I slid my way along to the station with my tea in my hand and my heart in my mouth (still not forgotten all the times I fell when I was sick). Got to the train, went to take a sip of tea and discovered the seal on my mug isn't as good as it used to be. Luckily the tea had cooled down by then but still...

Put my headphones on, hit play on my MP3 player and... nada. Rien. Nichts. Kein Musik. Battery was dead and I don't have a spare with me today. Nor did I bring a book 'cause I wanted to write if the train was quiet, which it was, but an arrogant business man sob sat next to me and since the story I'm working on is a hard R at the least, I didn't feel comfortable writing it with him looking over my shoulder.

So I sat and watched the snow getting heavier and heavier, all the while bored out of my mind and really hungry.

Got to work, think "there's some oatcakes in my desk drawer, okay so they're meant to be lunch but if it stops me gnawing off my own arm (or someone else's) then so much the better." Realise I didn't lift my spready cheese this morning, think I can cope with dry oatcakes, only to discover my desk drawer is locked and... I left the key at home.

*sigh*

I also have a doctor's appointment this afternoon which I have no idea why I made. I think it was in case I needed some medical certification for an appeal to any disciplinary action taken at work, but I'm not sure... But at least it means I can get out of here before I go even more crazy.

ETA and now I discover that [livejournal.com profile] monkey_matt is wiping the floor with me in Scrabulous. Seriously, [livejournal.com profile] engelsteorra's beating me too, but not by 300 points...

Okay, so there's a lot of building work going on in the floor above my office in the library. They seem to be dropping a lot of very heavy things directly above my head so...

If I die, I want to be cremated.

[livejournal.com profile] wenchpixie, [livejournal.com profile] acrazywench and [livejournal.com profile] thedothatgirl get first dibs on my DVDs so long as they promise to give [livejournal.com profile] hopeless_cynic one of my copies of Firefly and Serenity, [livejournal.com profile] smileawhile gets first dibs on my CDs and everyone else can fight over the rest of my belongings... The sites are hosted for the next 18 months, this LJ's a permanent account so... (Ooo - [livejournal.com profile] emorpheus can take the Sandman books he doesn't have yet and any of the Star Wars graphic novels and books he wants, the technical books and the encyclopaedia are for my nephew though!)

*grins*

(work sucks, but I refuse to let it get to me the way it has in the past couple of days. It's a job, it's not who I am. Those of you who have me friended on Facebook - my 'what I'm doing' is a tad melodramatic.)

So yes, you may have noticed the fancy-schmancy icons table I just posted. In an attempt to actually do something about my desire to make more icons, I signed up to make 100 Faith ones in 10 weeks (plus I'm on the waiting list to make John Winchester ones once the current claim is complete). Here's hoping I get it all done! (Actually, I will get it all done - here's hoping I make icons I'm proud of. *nods*)

I had a horrible headache last night which lead to me bailing half way through the comment spammery over at [livejournal.com profile] scsposse - sorry I flaked on you guys, not feeling well coupled with an episode that still mostly annoys me (Sin City, only the "Dean is pretty" saves it for me...). I'm all better today though, plus I didn't wake up until about 4.30 am which is a marked improvement. (Still sucks, but I'll take what I can get!) And the big news - my bandage and sling came off on Friday. Six weeks is up and my arm's more or less fixed. Still sore, muscle might have atrophied a little so I need to start doing more with it, but yay! I'm no longer broked!

Got a bunch of plans on the go, and am feeling productive. Let's see how many actually come to fruition though...
