back at work for the first day today (dammit, why do I have to work in the freaking library? Why can't I do the work I was doing last weekend all the time?!) and since I have no net access at home this is my first chance to see just how far back I am on my flist... and that's on top of the 86 emails that came in just to my personal work email account while I was away.

I am never catching up. Link me please?

(have some pictures to post, not many 'cause I didn't get to use my camera a lot this weekend for obvious reasons, will do that some point soon)

So I've not been online much this week. Because I've been travelling the country in search of awesomness. AKA Steve Carlson. Luckily my travels happened to coincide with two gigs the man was doing and I found myself dragged into said gigs. It's almost like it was planned or something...

The gigs have been amazing, absolutely completely and utterly amazing.

We flew back to Glasgow from London this afternoon after being at a gig last night (also with Jason Manns who's gradually turing into a giant cuddly teddy bear) and am currently at Wench's place since I have to be back at the airport for 5.30 tomorrow morning to go to the Asylum 2 convention.

I realised as soon as I began typing this that I hadn't really mentioned all this on my own journal, so the random voice posts and general insanity over the last week may have been a tad bit confusing. Well, there's more to come. Trust me.

*g*

Go buy Steve's new album btw, CD Baby have it. Steve said last night that they'd run out so I'm not sure if there'll be any at Asylum - I hope so!

Also? Darren and Rosalee are awesome and genuinly lovely people.

And, my name is Sho and I have a pick addiction.

*g*

(finally - I still have the ink stamp from the bar on my hand. Anyone got some Swarfega handy?)

So, already I'm at around skip=eleventybillion on my flist and am so far behind on comments that it's making my brain hurt. I will try my hardest to get to everyone, but link me? Please?

and since I really need to recode this layout to fix the userpic being an upper div layer, I'll put in some nonsense at the start to bump it down.

You feel enraged when things do not go your way. You are sensitive about being treated fairly and feel resentful and bitter if you think you are being cheated, however you tend to lack energy and have difficult initiating activities. You are not prone to spells of energetic high spirits. You are a moderately imaginative person who enjoys a good balance between the real world and fantasy. You do not like to claim that you are better than other people, and generally shy from talking yourself up, however you believe that a certain amount of deception in social relationships is necessary. You are guarded in new relationships and less willing to openly reveal the whole truth about yourself. You are content to get by with a minimal amount of work, and might be seen by others as lazy.

Yeah, I'll go with that, even the things that I don't agree with.

But - to quote the text I just got from Wench: WE GOT BOBBY!!!!!!

(Jim Beaver's announced as an Asylum guest - yay! We got Bobby!)

(and I just got spoiled on the Rogue Events pages - not just the forum folks...)

Yes, Jared's not going to be able to make it to Asylum because of filming commitments now. Yes I'm disappointed. But I don't blame him or the organisers or anyone. He's doing his job. As a con goer I know this kind of thing happens. (I'm also disappointed that Summer's not going to Serenity Complete, but am I now not going? Aye, right!) I go to cons to meet my friends and have a great time. Having a headline guest can be awesome, but the secondary guests can be more entertaining.

So, to detract from the hating that's going on in the Asylum forum (but which has been absent on LJ, because we LJers are sensible people at heart!). I, as a DeanGirl, present a Jared pic spam.

Really not dial-up friendly!

Ladies (and Gentlemen!), may I present Jared Pada-something... )

And for [livejournal.com profile] wenchpixie who can't access Photobucket right now and therefore hasn't seen them yet...
