Seriously, I have two SC fics to finish - when I say finish, I mean actually do more than assign sections in a notepad to them and scribble notes and various snippets of dialogue and you know, maybe write them!. I also have all of my many, many, many works in progress to tackle, as well as the (now kinda late) Dark Angel 'pulse' tribute tale I was planning (shoulda been posted at the start of this month, has barely been thought of since March). And then there's all these graphics I need to do, and the follow up to 'Shelter' that I'm now committed to (plus I really want to finish both Crimson Regret and WaDaDM now). So what did I do this morning?

Snoozed most of the morning away, watched the F1 qualifying for a while, wandered around the village for a bit and then ended up here in the library.

Yeah, that's gonna get the writing done!

r_becca beta'd for me ages ago. *checks pen drive* yay! It's there! 'kay... that'll be the third fic I've posted this week then. Dude, I'm on a roll here!

(side note, guy behind me just fell off his chair, he's fine, nothing but bruised pride, but I twisted to see what the hell happened and now *my* back is hurting. Shame Injury Lawyers 4 U don't have a remit in Scotland innit?)

I should be writing...

World's safe, bored now.

I'm bored. I have a million and one things to do - not least the Sweet Charity work (Bella - you have become the latest victim of my psychic email issue. I read emails, I answer them in my head and then forget that I haven't actually physically sent an answer...

thedothatgirl is the most common victim of my psychic emails, ask her how frustrating it gets!)

I also have to sell my house, which means I have to clean the entire thing, get my things packed away, and paint the living room walls.

What am I doing instead? Well I'm sitting in the library wondering how long I can justify being here and whether I can get any of the YouTube links from A3 to work on a public computer... Probably not.

Oh, also? I have a new plan for what to do with the Salt & Burn site asides from the fic archive and the awards. Unfortunately that plan is going to involve a far greater understanding of databases than I currently have. (Which, let's face it, wouldn't be hard 'cause I don't understand them at all right now!) So I'm sitting here with my rucksack full of PHP & MySQL info books and trying to understand floating arrays. So much fun.

World's safe, bored now.

Flist? Opinions?

What are your opinions on fics which are essentially collected fragments of a fictional text? As in, letters, phone call transcripts, diary entries? Do they need a grounding point of view or (if well written) do they stand on their own as just those partial texts?

(I'm thinking here of stories like bastardsnow's excellent Stars (Dear Diary Remix) and the like)

Plus, I'm now awake and bored. Anyone got anything that looks vaguely like work and will keep me distracted for the afternoon? (Not allowed to use my headphones except on breaks so vids and songs are out for now)

(random edit here, I don't normally eat breakfast but it's been pointed out to me numerous times (mostly by acrazywench that not doing so is not healthy. So I started eating breakfast lately, but now I get hungrier earlier in the day. That's just so wrong! I'm starving right now, and I said I would stop in to Mothercare to pick up some newborn sleepsuits and scratchmits for my sister (she has gift vouchers to use up). It'll be another four hours before I get home probably. I may keel over on the way.)

bored now...

I've lost what little motivation I had this morning and now don't want to be working. So y'all know what that means, right? Spam el-jay! I just got eliminated from the

spnlims challenge but it's not a surprise 'cause if I could have I'd have voted me out this week. But there's a second chance round now, so I'm going to try to get back in. Must find my graphics motivation again. Or any motivation. I'm just so scunnered with things right now, it's probably because of the site overhaul, but everything fandom related is starting to feel like a chore now which is not a good place to be for me. And of course control freak that I am (ha!) I'm focusing that somewhere else so that I can actually do something I enjoy. Okay so that something is sitting in a pub with other fen but what's not to enjoy about that? *g*

Tell you what I'll do, first five people to give me a character* and a song title/lyric will get a drabble/ficlet. That'll keep me busy and might actually make writing feel less like a hassle.

(*fandoms: Buffy, Angel, Supernatural, DW (new series), Torchwood (if you give me Owen as a character the ficlet will centre on the various pain-filled ways I'd like to see him die though...), Heroes, Veronica Mars and I'm sure there's more but I'm blanking right now.)

Bored, hungry and cold

engelsteorra? I miss having you around here - now I have to sit in this damn room and try to pretend I'm working instead of being through in the other office putting you off your work. And it's baltic in here right now, AC's on full blast and it's not summer anymore...

Typed up some of sis's college work for her, it's kinda... not good, and had a fluff attack whilst planning out a fic. Seriously, me writing sheer fluff with comedic undertones? What's the world come to?

I genuinly have no work to do, not even the little dribs and drabs that normally come in during the day and which I have become adept at spreading out so that I at least have *something* to do. Not only am I a cog in this machine, I am an irrelevant cog that's spinning free because there's no bloody work to do. Still, only an hour and a half before I can get home to indulge in some serious iconing. Got my claim for

100days100icons to work on (if not finish, but it's 90 icons so I doubt it'll be completely done tonight), I've got my entry for

doctorwholims to work on and I also want to (surprise, surprise) work on a Supernatural wallpaper - and maybe some icons. Betcha I get none of that done though, the sink is kinda full of dishes so I should probably do that instead...

Bored, hungry and cold
